CAN'T BELIEVE IT WAS THAT BAD!!! Was recently at a party (Adults & Children)...the cake was pretty so I asked who made it & Spartan Bakery was the answer. I overheard a little boy who was asked if he liked the cake...he replied "No, it's not sweet enough". I thought, oh he's just a kid, what does he know. Sanitary conditions I have an issue with the person handling my food order using the same gloves to run the cash register and handle money and then once again handling food without changing gloves. Money is the nastiest thing you can touch and not changing gloves after touching it is very unsanitary. This has happened to me each and every time I go to Spartan Bakery. Best cake/icing anywhere! I travel for business in NC, SC, TN and GA. If I EVER need a cake, cupcake, cookies, etc. I call, place an order and have never been disapointed. The owners/staff are polite and helpful. The best cake and icing of any place I know. I take cakes back to TN where I live, and to my offices in the other states. The prices are fair and everything is fresh!
best cake in the south I love their cakes and I would have to say that if you think they are too dry try drinking with your food. Milk is perfect with their cakes. I love the icing and I love the cakes that I get from them. They listen and they do good work. Try their cakes for your self and you just might like them. If you want to try a sample of their cakes get a cake square. They are small and cheap and you can even just buy one. Give them a call they are good
love it let me start by saying I love me some Spartan bakery I have used them for every special occasion imaginable, I'm the father to four so that happens often! I have used them for as long as I can remember I also introduced my wife to them and she doesn't fix cake from a box anymore! Dry as the Mojave Desert Best icing ever and driest white cake there is anywhere! Decorating is a little amateurish as well to have been in business for so long. I decorate cakes myself and I could do better decorating than they do.
Good cake, terrible staff Spartan Bakery was always my first choice when it came to birthday cakes for my children. I absolutely loved the frosting and I would occasionally go buy some of their cake squares "just because" I wanted some cake. However, I ordered a cake for my husband's 40th birthday and when I went to pick it up the day of the party, the staff had no record of my order. Love the cakes.... I have been going to Spartan Bakery for many years and have always had great service and loved every cake I've ever gotton from there. If I go to a party and Spartan Bakery cake is being served, I can't pass it up. I hate to hear bad reviews because soooo many people love the cake and the icing. It is just a differnce in opinions.
Cakes and Cookies I live an hour away and would not go anywhere else but Spartan bakery for their cakes and cookies. My son is a plant manager and I send cakes and cookies to work with him and everyone just raves over them. The staff is the best you can find, they are thoughtful, and courteous, and very friendly. The staff treats you with respect, if anybody and everybody were completely honest they would have to say the same. I would recommend everyone to try Spartan Bakery, if you are honest you would say the same.
