my wedding cake fell apart! Wow! I wish I'd seen these reviews before I ordered from Spartan Bakery! Bottom line, go elsewhere! I gave Spartan Bakery an opportunity to redeem themselves before posting poor reviews, but they've chosen to let it go... yet another example of unprofessionalism. Terrible terrible terrible! i bought the cupcakes here for my baby shower! They was no what I ordered! I was having a boy so I wanted the cupcakes to be blue.. But when I got there they was pink an they said I told them pink but when I showed them the receipt they changed there attitude! I got my money back an never went back! I wouldn't ever go there again an I don't recommend this place to anyone!
Love the road trips I personally haven't met the owners but, a young man I worked with use to bring in cookies and cakes to work and they were delicious. I would love it when he brought sweets in, I finally asked him where he got them from he told me Spartan Bakery, said when he goes through Spartanburg he always gets him some sweets from Spartan bakery I do not blame him they are Delicious, I look forward to his trips to spartanburg so i can put in my order to what I want.
Great cakes My family and i buy all our cakes here and we've never had a problem. Their cakes are great. And i've met the onwer's and their employees, they've always been helpful and nice to us.
I MISS THE OLD OWNERS! I know the old owners of spartan bakery and boy do I wish they still owned it. I bought a cake earlier this month for my daughters second birthday, it was a strawberry shortcake cake it looked okay and thats putting it nicely when we served it none of our guests would eat it it was so dry and all salt completly gross I will never ever order cake again from there $40 on a cake no one would touch with a 10 foot pole I will be going to bilo forever now WARNING dont do it people
Three strikes We have used Spartan Bakery for years, and have always been very satisfied until the last 2 years. The last three cakes were simply awful. My children could have done a better job of decorating, and the cake was very dry. We ordered a skateboard cake which was not recognizable, a horse's head cake which was cartoonish and a ballet slippers cake which looked more like ratty bedroom slippers. Loved the cake!! I got my son a birthday cake with the WipeOut Game Show theme. It was an unusual cake but Mike at Spartan Bakery made it happen! My son loved the cake!! All Mike had to go on was a picture and his creativity. It was a devil's food cake with buttercream icing and it was delicious!! We were expecting to pay $50-$60 dollars and ended up being charged less than $35! Thanks Mike!
Talk of the Shower I have recently used Spartan Bakery for a twin baby shower cake and not just any cake it was three tiered cake it was huge, (I had to go all out it was my last pregnancy). I called Cathy the owner of Spartan Bakery and told her kind of a rough draft of what I was wanting and sent her a pic via e-mail she got back with me to make sure the details were correct and there were no mistakes that needed to be corrected, she was wonderful about making sure the cake was perfect for myself and my husband. AWFUL CAKE DECORATING I ordered my daughters Minnie cake from here, with a picture in tow. Was told they could do it. Got it today, 2nd birthday, and it was ugly! They did an awful job and they had a picture. I should have gone to Publix, or any grocery store for that matter. I cannot comment on the taste because we returned it for a full refund, my husband is on his way there now...way to ruin a child's birthday.
