Had a good time, rooms were large enough and nicely maintained. Only complaint is valet gets backed up easily because people do not pull forward.
No accommodations for pumping/nursing moms at SXSW! How completely backwards! Conference goers, be forewarned: you'll be told to pump in the bathroom stall. Disgusting. For a full service hotel, this is just unacceptable. I've been a loyal and statused Marriott Rewards member for years and this is making me rethink my future hotel stays.
What an upscale, gorgeous hotel! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there last weekend and highly recommend it! We also ate at The Corner and it was delicious. Perfect location downtown, rooftop pool...all superlative!

Just attended a conference on Customer Experience at this property and boy did this team deliver. Across the board. But my favorite story was from the Osterio Pronto Italian restaurant staff. I was having snacks with my gluten free client and Osterio didn't have gluten free bread or crackers. Hard to enjoy a cheese plate without. Well - the server and her boss chose to surprise and delight us! The manager left the property and bought a box of gluten free crackers for us and served them to us. We stayed at the JW Marriott in Austin last weekend. My husband and I agreed while we were there, that they had exceptional service. Any requests made were done promptly and with a smile. The hotel is beautifully furnished and clean. But, they really went above and beyond. In my rush (tired mom syndrome, right here) I left a library book in the hotel room.
