My experience was quite superb. I found the staff to be extremely friendly. The Starbucks on the 2nd stayed busy buts gets you thru very efficiently.
Stayed in Austin at the JW this weekend for The Tour Of Texas Warm Up. My family and I were highly impressed with ALL aspects of this hotel! We will recommend your hotel to anyone who is looking for the best place to stay in Austin!!!
Just attended a conference on Customer Experience at this property and boy did this team deliver. Across the board. But my favorite story was from the Osterio Pronto Italian restaurant staff. I was having snacks with my gluten free client and Osterio didn't have gluten free bread or crackers. Hard to enjoy a cheese plate without. Well - the server and her boss chose to surprise and delight us! The manager left the property and bought a box of gluten free crackers for us and served them to us. We paid way too much for F1 weekend. We had a corner room which looked at the back of other buildings. Rooms were just okay with no mini bar and no snacks. The women at the front desk tried charging me for the entire stay even though we had pre-paid for the entire stay, glad I caught her. We went downstairs to Corner restaurant and we're told there were no outdoor tables. We walked outside and there were two tables available. I went back inside and they put us on the waiting list. I've stayed here for all my business trips to Austin and the bed is heaven!! Also love how dark the room stays once curtains are closed (for vampires like me who don't like the sun waking us up!) Great selections of restaurants and Starbucks, very convenient for those traveling for business purpose. Since it's located in the heart of Downtown with great surroundings, I understand the price point for the stay, though parking is expensive for valet or self-park--that's just a pet peeve of mine!! Top notch accomodations in the heart of downtown Austin. Incredible eats ... EVERYWHERE. Cooper's Old Time Pit Bar-B-Que right next to the hotel. I-N-C-R-E-D-I-B-L-E BBQ but dessert innovation I hadn't experience before - Pecan Cobbler.
