The Marriott Marquis may be appealing visually, but under all of that pretty architecture this hotel needs major improvements. First, let me start off with the elevators. Waiting 5-10 minutes for an elevator to take you to your room sounds awful, doesn't it? Well imagine waiting well over half an hour with probably 30 other people on an elevator to take you up to your room. Perfect place to stay for a family or any event hands down
When I used to travel to the ATL 10 times per year, the Atlanta Marriott Marquis was my home away from home. Excellent staff & amenities!
Great place
The hotel itself is beautiful. The customer service was awful. We stayed in room 321. We had reservations for weeks and it took an hour to check in to the hotel. We missed the whole first act of our concert that we were in town for. We had called all day and requested early check in and were told it wasn't available. We had to park across the street at a public parking garage because their parking was full. We were not allowed to take our car out of this garage or we paid another $20 to park there. It is a one because you can't give a zero. The valet staff was so bad that it took over an hour sitting in a traffic jam caused by the hotel to find out their lot was full. No one was managing the situation.
World class....
I stayed in room 1503, the view was awesome, the view from inside the hotel was spectacular. your elevators provide the most smoothest ride. Your service and facilities are excellent. I had the opportunity to participate in the most awesome event "Through the Veil" in your International Room and all was beautiful.
I loved my stay here. The staff was friendly and the bed was... Just say my husband had to peel me out of the bed. It was nice though.. I will stay again.
