I have stayed in many Marriotts all over and never have I experienced such terrible service. First, valet took forever coming into the hotel. Then, service at the hotel bar "velocity" was awful (you'd think with a $435 check it would've been better, but since gratuity was added our server didn't need to try!) Then, valet took over 15 minutes when we were leaving and nobody else was waiting!! The entire experience was awful!
Aside from the fact that we were basically forced to pay for Valet parking, the staff damaged my husbands car and is now refusing to pay for it. He has been communicating with them via email and they are claiming that since the damage was not pointed out to them before we left that they are not liable. Never once did we sign any sort of paperwork for this. On top of the fact that we were rushed leaving because the hotel was booked to capacity the weekend we were there due to it being Valentines Day weekend & there was also a... read more
So I took my super pregnant wife to the Georgia aquarium for Valentine's Day (which was great btw) and I went ahead and booked a hotel for us at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis which was awesome. The hotel was top notch and the staff worked with us during a minor confusion over breakfast (pregnant women haft to eat!) I didn't like the fact that I had to pay for valet parking and I never go for it but there's a first time for everything. After we checked out and drove home I found that one of their valet staff had what looks to ... read more
I would love to say that I would come back, but I don't think I can. The hotel room and view was nice, but the service was not so much. The cable went out every few minutes and would just freeze for 5 minutes straight, took a hour to get a bottle of wine and strawberries, we paid extra for the concierge lounge to find out that they were closed (there was another lady trying to get in as well), we were seated at the Velocity establishment inside the hotel and never had anyone come to the table to greet us so we finally got up... read more
Room was alright, staff was very friendly, room service for breakfast was a little pricey, 60 dollars and they forgot the toast. However, there are a wide selection of restaurants and other choices nearby.I would probably stay here again.
The hotel itself is nice, rooms are good too, the service however was lacking, we were here for a cheer competition was of course the hotel was at capacity, they obviously can't function at capacity and for that I give them a 3. From the valet to the room service to housekeeping, don't expect any one to be able to assist. And the resturant? You're better off at the food court, better options and quicker service. We are long time Marriott customers and will most likely continue to be however I would never paid to stay here ag... read more
I had a great experience this week for a work conference at this hotel. As a nursing mom I'm nervous about traveling since I have to be able to store my pumped milk and not all hotels are accomodating. The gentleman at the front desk (I think his name was Jordan) was very helpful and understanding and assured me he would make sure I had a refrigerator in my room. Not only was the refrigerator in my room after my first meeting but he also left a message to make sure it had been delivered and to reach out to him if it had not.... read more
Perfect location, very beautiful & unique architecture, but the price for parking $40 a day is ridiculous! And you have NO other parking alternative (self parking). Daily hotel rates of $200, at least ALL guest, should get free Wi-Fi. Very disappointed with all the extra charges. But overall, I like the accommodations, room, gym, location and courteous staff.
Staff very courteous....They grab my luggage b4 I could get in the door... Lol
