Convenient to Americasmart this is the second time staying at the Marriott Marquis. Our room was updated, clean, and inviting. Elevator wait time wasn't terrible. Our tv worked fine. My only issue was after a long day at the Market being on hold for over 45 minutes for room service and they never picked up! Tried one of the hotel restaurants after I hung up to see how long their wait times were and got no answer there. Celebrating our 23 Wedding Anniversary, we were given a Complimentary Dinner for 2, the room was Great, Food was Good and service was Outstanding all around (parking, checking in, restaurants, and check out) Thanks Marriott
Positive experience except the fact that we lost water in the morning an couldnt take showers or brush our teeth. They offered us lunch but we didnt except because we just finished eating breakfast in the dining hall.
My luggage came up missing out if my hotel room & "nobody" can find it not housekeeping not loss prevention not lost & found nobody ! Yet a established hotel whose rates are $130 a night with camera footage & log for key cards no one can find my things & all they wanna do is write me a claim ? Mind you I come from Texas so I have No clothes, no id, no personal hygiene products how am I suppose to get back on my flight to Texas with no Id !?!? The valet driver stole $420 dollars out of my brothers wallet. he had forgotten he left his wallet in his truck console. the staff was unsympathetic, and treated my brother like he was lying and really didn't seem to care at all. When ask if he could at least be partially compensated by waiving room fee, they said no. only waived tyhed valet parking costs!! talk about adding salt to insults!!! the base of my toilet had a yellow urine stain and was covered with hair. comfortable, close to great restaurants and the convention center - You can go walking! also has a nice restaurant on the 1st floor with a great food and great team working there! for sure i will be back! thank you guys!
I was disappointed with my stay. I was there for school and stayed in the hotel for 6 nights. I had to be up at 6am daily to be downstairs for 7am breakfast, and class from 8a-5p. Almost every night the fire alarm went off between 2 and 4 am. When i mentioned it to the clerk at checkout she didnt even respond. I stay at Marriott hotels 3-5 times a year. This Marriott location provided exceptional service from the banquet facilities, to the sous chefs ( the Thai coconut soup was the best that I have ever tasted), to the front desk agents, to the room service and all of the restaurant staff. Kudos to your training department; Human Relations. I only have one request, that you consider providing complimentary water in your lobby area for your guest.
We have been blown away but the beautiful room, attentive staff, and beautiful architecture
