I am left utterly heartbroken by our experience at smoochie pooch. My dog was perfectly fine when dropping him off for his groom. My dog came home trembling and slept for several days, as well as refusing food/water. Thinking he was getting a bout of colitis from stress (which he is prone to), I let him rest. By Christmas Day, he could hardly walk and was shaking continuously. I took him to the vet where they told me he has a back injury. This place came highly recommended and after 2 negative visits i wouldn’t recommend. I have a labradoodle who was shaved bald... per the shop manager she was very matted... but not one phone call to mention or discuss the “severity” of the matting nor the amount of shaving that would need to take place! After calling and speaking to staff they did offer a discount on my NEXT visit but who wants to take their baby again after being shaved almost bald! Before and after pics attached. UPDATE: We went back today and seen Jenn (who was amazing) and my sweet Finley looks amazing! She really took the time to talk to me about what I wanted and did just that!! My dog had a 12pm appointment and had mot even been touched at 230pm. Only takes 2-3 hours normally to get him done but they must have wanted to keep him til 6 pm cause I picked him up at almost 3. Poor dog had to go to the bathroom and was so thirsty! I will not be using their spa ever again for our dogs needs. How he was dropped off and picked up... so disappointed

Good afternoon. Thank you for the review and we’re sorry to hear this! I have spoken to your groomer from today. She did advise us that she had some very matted pups this morning that put her behind. Unfortunately we don’t know these things when scheduling. We do normally quote 3-4 hours for all dogs especially doodles. when is salon will not cut your pet the way you want they don't deserve customers I'm not going to be told how my dog should look my dog will look the way I want it to look I live with it it lives with me not you
RecommendedBrought my 11 year old pug yesterday for a bath and nails. She was happy when we picked her up. They were very careful of her sore hind leg and her nails never looked better. I will definitely bring her back.
