They are very professional and make me feel safer in my home. Their billing is clear and their services are reasonably priced. I recommend them without reservation!
Tech arrived on time. We have a small laundry room so he had to move the washer and dryer, then climb over the dryer -- including pedestal -- to access the dryer vent. When he was done he even offered to paint a small section of wall behind the dryer that I couldn't reach when I painted the room the day before. Before he left, he reviewed our fire safety protocols. Overall, an excellent job!
Smoke Alert quoted a price of $1,200 saying the vent didn't meet current code. Or $700 to redo a vent going straight up and through the roof. Smoke Alert then charged $59 to clean the sleeve behind the dry!! What a rip off!!! Just had a company come out and quote $150 (on the third floor of a condo building in Cary). Even with a bird's nest at the vent opening finally cost $350.
Highly recommend this company! Owned and operated by fire fighters. They came and replaced our dryer vent, replaced a non-working smoke detector, and did a free fire safety home assessment. They were professional, courteous, and on-time. Outstanding work and customer service!!!!
Lonnie is extremely knowledgeable and explains things well. Amanda at the office was very helpful so that Lonnie was able to come to my home relatively quickly, which I really appreciate. Over the past few years Lonnie has re-connected a dryer vent, cleaned and inspected the gas fireplace, and now replaced a beeping smoke alarm. He's very efficient and pleasant to deal with. I recommend Lonnie and Smoke Alert highly.
We have used this company for two years now for dryer duct cleaning and replacement of smoke/ CO detectors. They also came out and did a fire safety check in our home. They are very kind and helpful as well as SUPER informative. They all are either active or retired fire fighters. I absolutely love supporting this company for that very reason. I was impressed with Smoke Alert for many reasons. Their website was very informative, and when I made the initial call their customer service was great! When the technician came out he was professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. I had a gas fireplace cleaned & inspected, and dryer vent cleaned. The tech also reviewed home fire safety and made some recommendations, but did not pressure me in any way. I will definitely schedule their service annually in the future!
Would recommend that everyone have there dryer vent cleaned from Smoke Alert because he is an ex-fireman and a honest reputable businessman.
