I've been with Slomins for 30 years. Every 5 years, I renew my contract with them in exchange for upgrading service. Upon speaking with their rep this year, he said the only upgrade available to my system is to add cameras. I received a verbal confirmation that there was no changes to my service or costs and the rep concurred. 4 weeks later I receive notification that 1) I have been switched to AUTOPAY 2) I have been switched to monthly billing 3) My service cost has nearly doubled. This has got to be the most niggardly security company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with! The staff and management are rude and immature adults that need to be stripped of their jobs and titles! From talking to them its clear to see that its a culture of rude and disrespectful obnoxious behavior towards its long standing clients. I would recommend not using Slomins! I had cameras installed not knowing if you discontinue service years down the line you will not have any access to the cameras?! Never was informed that is the procedure! Now lets begin with how do you pay slomins to monitor your home and they turn around after you pay them to install cameras and they break the news to you that you have to monitor your own cameras?! Slomins is the worst company around. I believe they should be down for how they treat customers. I was w them for a year, I did purchase the service agreement but never told that if there is a balance on the acct. n you have an emergency they will not come out. Very poor company to deal with. Dishonest service ***** claimed I needed a new tank and left without getting burner running. Wanted to make a sale , told me only option was a temp tank for $2000 cod , then a new one .. however it was just a simple clogged **************** plumber got it working in 10 minutes.. after waiting 22 hours without heat or a service manager supervisor to speak to.. after repeated attempts to speak to someone, all the phone reps say is.. I was a customer for over 23 years. I became temporarily disabled and had to apply for assistance to pay for oil. Government assistance doesn't happen very quickly. Finally had to apply for emergency assistance be I was out of oil in the middle of January. The social worker that was helping me called Slomins for an emergency drop. They refused unless I signed a contract. This the worst company if you are in need. They actually told me to go f myself after years with them for oil and alarm. This company is completely crooked. Ran out of oil and was told that unless I paid the balance use on a service contract, which i never received a bill for past due until January 11, **** they will not deliver an emergency delivery. This is in violation of the ******** Oil Consumer act. The temperatures were 12 and below, if I did not how to get oil and prime my pump we would have been freezing. ......they contacted me on Jan 16 **** (by text) to do a oil drop at my house for the following day on Jan 17th......here it is Jan 18th and I'm still waiting...according to *** who i spoke to on the phone and had me on hold 3 times but still couldn't tell me if a delivery would be made today or not, I'm still waiting and explained that nothing but sludge was coming out of my tank...now I have serviced my boiler with new filters and cleaned the sludge out of my lines but need a oil delivery........after years of dealing with... read more

I was having an alarm system installed in my new apartment. My card was ran before I was informed of the details of approval. it wasnt until after the fact that I was informed that credit check was being done. Had I known approval was contingent on my credit score I wouldve never consent it to payment.
