Job is still open. They were prompt and knowledgeable, but were not able to complete the task. They are planning to contact the vendor and obtain more information. They were able to light the pilot as requested and the main burner, but after an hour or so of operation, the entire unit stopped working. We're now back to the original, non-operating condition. JJR
Came to our house the NEXT day after rescheduling some other appointments. Gene has his certifications to work on gas fireplaces. He read our product instruction guide and went to work. Must have spent 1 and 1/2 hours and explained what he was doing as he proceeded. While the problem proved to be difficult because the brand is longer made (so no on-line tech help), he continued to try and find an answer. I believe Mr. Simmons was very good at Chimney repairs. Unfortunately my problem pertained to the operation of the natural gas related equipment that included a loose wire as well as a lifting pilot when the burner came on that allowed the pilot to disengage. The unit was working when Mr. Simmons left after jiggling the wires. It went out later that day, I called Mr. Simmons and informed him that the unit was no longer working. Matt was polite, nice, honest and knowledgeable. Everything was very good, but I wish he would have removed his shoes before he came in.
I finaly called them and they were not sure if they could do the job but said would check and call me back eather way a week later no call no messages. Good thing it was something simple and we did not actualy need help after all.
The gentleman that came to my house was very professional and courteous. He was knowledgabel about my issues. I have asked him to find out some information for me regarding blowers for my fireplace insert. He hasn't gotten back to me yet, but am hoping he will very soon.
They were clean,courteous and got the job done efficiently.
