Please address the pot smoking that is prolific on site at ************* in *****. Stairwells, hallways, at the pool, at the dog park. It is everywhere and you need to do something immediately. It is time for a courtesy officer or patrol service. You've lost operational control. My 5-year-old regularly has to walk through clouds of pot smoke to get to our apartment. I've literally had a coworker ask me if I'd been smoking pot because I smelled like it. I've never smoked it in my life.

Would give 0 stars if possible. This place is terrible!!! Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere. 5 stars only to get around the filter of bad reviews. My boyfriend and I moved here 23 days ago, halfway across the country from NC, and it’s been awful. The management staff is never in the office, it’s absolutely disgusting around the entire complex and the gates never work correctly. There is literally trash and dog poop everywhere. If I could give negative stars, I would. We have lived here for 4 years and never had a problem. However we got new management recently and my experience with them has been horrible. Our washer and dryer broke so I put in a service request THREE WEEKS ago. I have emailed, call and gone up to the office. My husband has called and gone up to the office but they are ignoring our request to fix it. Not only that, but has lied many times. We have lived here since 2019. We love the apartment. We love the neighbors but the office is horrible. They recently got a new owner and a new office staff. We try not to have maintenance come out for things we can fix ourselves and generally try to stay out of the office unless we absolutely need to. We have had two incidents where we had to work with the new office staff. Both times they lied straight to my face about something extremely simple. My review is regarding the Preserve at Southwind. They took over management last summer and the property has been downhill from there. There is no communication from the property manager and the management team clearly does not care about the property. I have even spoken with the Regional manager Richard, and nothing. The community is extremely trashy and it’s ridiculous. The GROUNDSKEEPER refuses to pick up trash the office refuses to simply send a letter stating not to do. This has had Way better Management Companies. The office does not any day answer there phones when they are open. Sunday I contacted Emergency Maintenance, and the Office Manager. At least the old manager would respond in some way shape or form even if off. Saturday started with flies in my kitchen. I spent all day and eve swatting them. Finally day two, by afternoon I noticed at least same amount if not more . This time had not gone out. Wondering what the heck has happened. This place is absolutely terrible I beg you before you sign a lease make sure you have seen the apartment. They have a distinctive odor/ smell and this is mentioned in the lease but at the time I didn't read read it. This place is money hungry I as I was robbed in a broad day light. I signed a lease virtually on the 15th of Feb 23. I had someone pick up the key on the 16 and immediately they notice cockroaches, weird odor, kitchen sink and bathroom sink draining very slowly.
