Elevator system is HORRIBLE! I would never stay there again for that single reason!
Just checked out and Debbie at your front desk is amazing. She was extraordinary when I checked in and when I checked out. A great asset to your team!
The staff was so rude. I ordered some water at 11:30pm, and a guy told me there would be someone send it to my room. I was waiting it for 30 mins then I called them again, and a lady answered my call said the room services were closed and they don’t have any water. I tried to ask her why there was no one coming, she just transferred my phone to room services line with no explaination and no one answered my call any more.
I absolutely love the location of this hotel and have stayed here on multiple occasions. However, recently a mandatory $25 per day "Destination fee" has been added. I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in March and the front desk did not inform me about how to take advantage of the benefits of the destination fee that was automatically included in my bill. The wait time to check in and check out was incredibly long. The lobby was very crowded. The staff was rude. The elevator was so slow with the new system. The destination fee of $25 a night was a rude shock and did not provide additional amenities to warrant that fee. The AC in our room was not working well. We called the front desk 4 times. Hotel itself absolutely fine, location superb for access to Times Square. Elevators undergoing some sort of enhancement which makes me wonder just how bad they were, considering some of the wait times we had were pretty unreal. Main concern is with billing. Checked out of the hotel having settled my bill ($63) in full. 10 days later I find an unknown amount charged on my credit card which translates to £165. Numerous emails to hotel/customer services/billing and I am still none the wiser. Shambolic customer service.
Pros: The lobby, common areas and rooms were all very clean and well kept, even in a weekend of rain and all the mess that goes with it. Staff were friendly, but unnecessarily firm or abrupt in some instances. Bed was comfortable, and room was a nice size. I'm likely to stay here again. Cons: Noise is always a factor in Times Square, but in this instance, the noise was from the other room doors opening and closing in the hallway.
