I went to pick up some friends staying there from Italy. They picked the Sheraton because of its Central Location. The Party consisted of a Couple and their 13 year old Graddaughter. They took her to NY as a reward for having received Excellent Grades in School. My friend booked a room with 2 Double Beds, one for the Grandparents and one for the girl. We had prepaid for our room and checked in early, told our room was ready, but no one had replenished the mini fridge when we got up to the room. We were charged $57 for alcohol the previous guests took from the mini fridge! The hotel refused to refund it. Even after the man replenishing beverages assured us we would NOT be charged because we didn't take it. I disputed this charge. No one responded to me for over a week. I'm disgusted with this hotel. Also, told they would hold $50, they took $100. Don't stay here.
I would give this hotel a negative review if it’s possible. Our room was prepaid before we even arrived. They then took another $50 hold on our debit card and 10 minutes later (while we are eating dinner) they take another additional $350+ out off our debit card. This whole fiasco started at check in when they told me I owed for our last night, which we did not owe for another night. The charge for internet access was obscene. I didn’t pay it. The room was decent. No accessible fridge. The staff was pleasant & friendly. The lobby was beautiful & spacious. And the location was perfect & provided access to Time Square & other parts of Midtown.
