This is the best and the only place to get a tattoo in Columbia. I recently had a new piece tattooed on my arm at Purple lotus, and I am VERY pleased with the final result. I had a specific piece that I wanted to have done but needed to have the art work created. I met with Shavon and what she created was a beautiful work of art. I absolutely LOVE my tatoo!! I came in with an idea and Shavon blew me away with the design. I had originally gone to another flash shop in the area and walked out right away. I would not go anywhere else around here other than The Purple Lotus! Thanks for a beautiful and meaningful new tattoo and covering up the old one. I've gotten SOOO many compliments and people wanting a tattoo now so hopefully that will translate into new customers:)
Shavon and her team are the BEST!!! Her experience and her kind spirit make it easy to trust her for your artwork. Her studio is top notch and is far superior to others in the area. Everyone there is professional, and VERY talented- and unlike other shops in Columbia - they care about every piece of art they do- it's NOT about quantity, it's quality. There isn't anything left to say that hasn't been said already... The Purple Lotus is THE best tattoo "parlor" around. (I put parlor in quotation marks because The Purple Lotus is far from your standard tattoo joint) The residents of Columbia are lucky to have an artist who is as talented and as caring as Shavon is. I got my first tattoo at the Purple Lotus last week and honestly, I couldn't wait to write this review. First of all, understand that Shavon is an unbelievably talented fine artist - after a 30 second conversation, she absolutely got me and what I wanted - better than I even knew it myself. When I saw the drawing, I got chills. It was perfect. And because she's an artist, anyone at the Purple Lotus will be treated with the respect and care that a true artist reserves for their art. My experience at The Purple Lotus was a fabulous time. I had 2 tattoos done..I had a lotus flower done on one foot and a butterfly done on my other foot. They are so BEAUTIFUL.....I had my son's initials placed in one of the lotus petals because Shavon tattooed the same type lotus flower on my son's chest area and I wanted to always carry him with me. I went to the Purple Lotus after a friend had Shavon do a couple of custom tattoos for him. I was very impressed with her work and her use of colors in his tattoos! I gave her a design of a tattoo that I've been wanting to get for the past 5 years, but was waiting for the right person and time to do it. Shavon was the right one!
