Purple Lotus is definitely the place to go to get a tattoo! Shavon has so much experience and does outstanding work! I got a tattoo covered up and I could not be happier with the end product. I recently decided to get my third tattoo after thinking about it for a considerable amount of time. The first two I got were from different parlors. The purple lotus is an amazing studio to get a tattoo done no matter what age you are or what type of art you want done. I was extremely nervous to go get my first one done, at 18 years old, but Shavon made the experience easy and fun. The studio is filled with great attitudes, its clean, and very professional. They take time to get the design perfect just for you, before permanently putting it on your skin. I would recommend it for anyone who wants one done. I know i definately will be going back soon for my next piece.
I am leaving for the army in a month and I am leaving my son it has been a really hard decision but I know that it is truely a good one at this point in my life. Anyway I wanted a tattoo that would keep me close to my young son while I am miles away. Alex did just that. i had a tattoo done at "five points tattoo" that turn out to be a cheaply done disaster. And the funny thing about it is, it should have been just a simple red heart. A friend recommend me to Purple Lotus. I came and showed Shavon asked what she could do with it, with out taking away the fact that the heart was a gift from my boyfriend. I had a tattoo done by an "artist" in NC a year ago in memory of my father who passed way. I was never happy with it. I came to Alex at Purple Lotus and he not only re-did my original tattoo but knowing the reason for the tattoo, Alex did it with as much love behind it as I would have if I could have done my own. Spent a groovy Sunday with a groovy couple and their groovy friends at the Grooooviest studio in the southeast. Can't say enough about Shavon and her artistic abilities. She gave me exactly what I wanted and my psychedilic tattoo is original, colorfull and drawn by the best. Every time I look at it I flash back to 1969.
