Shavon is a consummate professional and a fabulous artist. She strives for excellence, even perfection, in everything that she does, and her work shows it. She won't put the same piece of art on more than one person, so every tattoo is a personalized piece of work. I have to say, the purple lotus knows what they are doing! I had a lot of troubles in the begining. No computer, full time job, didnt have a design on paper... Shavon pulled through. She went out of her way to please me. Alex too! Driving to her house to drop off the final design, 110%! They make you absolutely comfortable before, during, and after. Hi my name is Mac. I vivsited the shop with my wife, brother-in-law, and 2 sister-in-laws. I got the Carolina block C on my leg. I must say that this was my fourth tattoo, and fourth different place and out of all of them Purple Lotus is the best by far. I love Shavon, and Alex is really cool. I would definetly go back if i decide to get another Tat. They make you feel right at home and even offer up ideas for what will make your Tattoo better looking. So thanks Shavon, and Alex.
I'm glad I found this place, and I wouldn't go anywhere else for a tattoo! I waited 7 years for this tattoo, looking for places and designs, thinking I wouldn't find a place in Columbia to suit me. Everybody in this shop was absolutely amazing! I had recently gotten a scarification done and wanted a tattoo around it, but had no idea what I wanted the tattoo to be of. Alex spent a ton of time talking to me and did several completely different sketches for me because I was being so flakey. Anybody else would have told me to figure out what I wanted on my own and come back with a decision, but they were there everytime I changed my mind. I first went to Shavons shop because someone I knew was apprenticing with her but he wasn't able to tattoo yet because he didn't have enough hours. She drew up my tattoo for me in a day and was tattooing me soon after. I've gotten a couple more since then and love all of them. She is working on one for my arm right now and we will tattoo a lot more of me over the years to come. It is like coming home when you go to the Purple Lotus and they are family.
