From the first time I walked through the doors of the Purple Lotus, Shavon, Alex, Rick, and everyone else there have treated me like family. I've had this tatt since September '08. I was at first pleased and excited; it was almost what I wanted, but the significance of the waxing, full and waning moon were distorted from the beginning. Today I realized (rather my attention was brought to the fact that there is the "sign of the beast" written in the moon. It is upside down for me, but not for anyone who sees the tatt. I took my daughter to get a tattoo for her birthday, so like daughter, like mother. I wanted one too. I had visited the web site and loved the work of Shavon. So, I emailed her what I wanted and she was great in making just what I liked. We talked, we relaxed, we told each other about our lives. She is just like family. I am the daughter of the below poster. I had an idea of what I wanted and emailed a VERY sparse description of it. When we got to Purple Lotus, Shavon had 3 different ideas sketched out for me. I tweaked one of them and we got started! Once we got the big stuff done- the carbon was gone and Shavon just freehanded the rest of my tatoo. And I absolutely LOVE it!! I received my first tattoo a couple of weeks ago. I was so nervous and scared, but Alex managed to calm me down. It was a wonderful experience and Alex did a great job. The environment was clean, the atmosphere was peaceful. I loved it!!! ALEX U ROCK!!!!!!!! I LOVE THE PURPLE LOTUS!!!!!!!
Shavon -- I LOVE MY CROSS!!!! After speaking to a couple of other folks about doing some "cover up" work on a small, malformed cross I had tattooed on my wrist, I ran across Shavon's website. I read all her fantastic reviews and hoped that she would be willing to re-do my cross -- without any judgement. And she was!!! Honestly the best experience ever. Combine their inspirational attitudes, creative flare, with even a slight consept for your piece and hands down you will walk out with your perfect tat! Even the memory of getting it done will draw you back for more. Shavon and Alex did a great job. My wife and I came in to get tattoos for our 17th anniversary. They took the time to design the tattoo we wanted from pictures and ideas we gave them. Then they came in early on Sunday so we could drive back to Georgia in time to pick up our kids before it got too late. And the artwork we got was incredible.
