The doctor is great. I love her - when I can get in. The staff however never answers the phones. I have called over 30 times in the past three months and sat on hold for over 30 minutes each time. I've never gotten through. RXs will not be filled, per Castro and Paul, until an appointment is made and I've run out of my STATIN (for my heart). I've even called CHP and they called the office and the person who answered said she'd have Castro call back. ONE WEEK LATER...no response.

I called the office to try to get a prescription or an appointment because my home test for Covid is positive. I had visited Urgent Care two days ago and the prescription for cough is not working. I received a called that the doctor said I needed to be seen but she didn’t have any available appointments so I should go back to Urgent Care. As a cardiac patient, WITH insurance, I thought there would have been a higher degree of concern and a greater degree of effort to at least try to see me! Concerned about BP
I have been seeing Dr. Castro for 5 years. She has always been professional, kind, compassionate, and very knowledgeable. After voicing concerns with her, she referred me to several specialists in Tallahassee. Because of her intuition and expertise, I received the necessary care and increased my quality of life. I am grateful that she is my family doctor, and I recommend her to anyone looking for a family doctor who is not only an expert in her craft but a compassionate person as well.
Dr. Shamil is so sweet. She is very professional and friendly And we Love Lisa the best nurse and she always make us laugh and has a good hand when it comes to shots
After Dr. Castro refused to treat my family and I for COVID that was the last straw. Her office told me to take OTC medicine. However, after consulting Urgent Care, I found out what her office was telling me to do was making my symptoms worse. Additionally, her office refused to prescribe Ivermectin to treat COVID. 100% DO NOT recommend choosing Dr. Castro or Paul as your PCP.
Doesn't listen to patients concerns. This is one of the worst doctors I've ever had. Told her for 2 years I thought I had sleep apnea. Never referred me to anyone. Never sent me for a sleep test. Found a new doctor and was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea within a few weeks. Wouldn't recommend Dr. Castro to anyone.
