A colonoscopy is it a pleasant experience but Dr Shaffer can leave you laughing. He always had a joke to tell and on the serious side he provides you with every bit of information about the procedure results and answers any questions you might have. In my old age I have quite a few doctors but he isn’t absolute favorite.

I was seen for a colonoscopy, and doctor Schaffer had excellent bedside manners, he's very good at what he does, and he gave me a very thorough post-procedure brief that gave me all the necessary information I needed going forward- and he's a veteran.
Dr. Richard Shaffer who currently completed a Colonoscopy is by far the best physician practicing this procedure and one that you will not be apprehensive about when you choose him. Dr. Shaffer is professional, caring, unexpectedly funny & has a great bedside manner. He very thorough and knows his stuff.
I've been to several GI's that were good, but none were as good as Dr. Shaffer. He was very friendly, listened to my concerns, took a genuine interest in my health and spent time figuring out the best course of action. I didn't feel like just a paycheck. Highly recommended
I had a scheduled colonoscopy, first one, and everything went great. Great bedside manners and was very thorough with the diagnosis. Definitely would recommend.
Dr Shaffer is kind and extremely knowledgeable. I trust him and appreciate his thoroughness and his ability to explain procedures, outcomes and recommendations.
Went in for a Colonoscopy and Hemorrhoid Band procedure. Solved the problem hemorrhoid with the banding procedure. Everything was great the next day and now after two week, problem solved.
