Today I had the best patient experience with my annual physical by Carrie Barlow,PA at Seton Family of Doctors StoneHill. She was so warm and engaging, took the time to listen to my concerns, clarified my medical knowledge, and explained thoroughly what I needed to know going forward. She made me feel confident in our plan knowing this was my first time in her care. Thank you!

After I pay my bill, you then tell me I didn't pay enough because you outside bill. What a pathetic company you are. All after I hear you passing off a bill for a homeless person while I was sitting in one of your rooms. Pathetic company.

I went in a few weeks ago dehydrated from a stomach flu and feeling very anxious about how my chest was feeling and body shakes. I am getting older and have never had these feelings. I went in and with 20 minutes had an EKG and nurse assistance. Within 45 minutes I had an IV and tests running to determine infection and treatment plan. Above all Dr Beatty made me feel comfortable and assured me it was the dehydration making my body react that way. I was immediately at ease. I admitted to feeling silly that I had such a high a... read more

My daughter had a procedure on 5/5/2017; same day in and out. Our doctor, nurses and anesthesia team were amazing! However, Seton BILLING!, the root of all evil is why I would give them ZERO stars. We were required to pay our full deductible before my daughter would be called back because it was "an elective surgery" (how a growth on her eye lid that could end up impairing her vision is elective is beyond me). Regardless, we paid the entire deductible at their request, a month later bills start showing up (our insurance cove... read more

I would like to inform patients that when they go to the emergency room at a assigned facility, that the facility may be in network but the doctor may not be. You need to ask. I went to Seton SW Emergency room thinking it was covered under my insurance, all the doctors in that ER are out of network which resulted in me being balanced billed $1000.00. I was never informed of this and they denied my appeal. Saying... I should have called first or gone to another ER Room. Always ask if the doctor is in network and if not reques... read more

Nurses are important! The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends a school nurse in every school. Seton Healthcare Family currently operates the school health services on behalf of Austin ISD and they have drastically reduced the quality of care children will be receiving by removing the full time nurse position (among other changes).
