About this business

The Seton Family of Hospitals Administration Offices, located at 1345 Philomena St. just south of Seton's Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas (east of I-35 and between 51st St. and Airport Blvd.), consolidates the majority of Seton's leadership and administrative staff in one central location. I went to Seton in Round Rock and was very happy that I did. I was in a lot of pain and I did have to have emergency surgery for removal of my appendix everyone was wonderful and Caring and helpful. Thank you so much!

Avoid Seton Healthcare Family like the plague if you have an HMO. They took seven calendar days after my primary care visit to send my referral to a specialist. (For comparison, several primary care providers in Austin send the referral on the same day.) I asked a Seton referral specialist if this was usual, and she said it was, then condescendingly explained Seton's referral process to me as if it were an excuse for taking longer than many other businesses do. Seven calendar days is unconscionable; my referral was for an EN... read more

If you’re in Austin and on BCBS, I’d suggest St. David’s healthcare over Seton. When I was sick in December, St. David's HealthCare ER charged me $747 for an EKG, multiple blood tests, painkillers, several IV meds, and a chest X-ray. Seton Healthcare Family, on the other hand, charged me $695 for a single EKG, because they double charge you — once for the hospital and once for Travis County, EMS (even if you don’t get anywhere near a paramedic or ambulance). Their doctor also tried to tell me I had a blood clot in my lung an... read more

STAY AWAY from SETON. I am not one to make negative posts ever, but this has been by far the WORST experience with a hospital I have ever had to deal with. The care was fine...everything after has been a NIGHTMARE. My daughter went in for an X-ray after having swallowed a quarter. The total time she was at the hospital was all of 45 minutes. We are self-pay. We were told on our way out, AFTER, all of the services had been rendered that the hospital bill (not the physician and radiology) would be estimated at $1200. We expect... read more

I filed an appeal on some medical bills last April to Seton in the timeframe of 14 days from the day I received the letter which said that the appeals are reviewed on a “monthly basis”. I’ve called them multiple times and spoken with the lady who gathers all of the appeal information and apparently the head lady who reviews the appeals cancels the meetings a lot. Ok great so I file an appeal within your timeframe and here I am almost 9 months later still waiting on a decision? Meanwhile the bills don’t stop even though I’m w... read more

Patient care is great from medical staff, but can we talk about the kitchen for a minute? I'm currently a patient, with Celiacs, yet they keep sending gluten up on my tray. How about if a patient has a medical food allergy you don't put the item they are allergic to on their tray? It's happened 3 times in less than 2 weeks, and they act like oh well, sorry, sending you up something else. What if I was not mentally with it to know what was safe on my tray and what I shouldn't eat?? Train your kitchen staff. This is serious. G... read more
