They do not perform a true inspection prior to taking your premiums. It is only so that they can decline coverages up front. If there is a hidden issue that you as a homeowner are unaware of, they will retroactively decline coverage. Expect exactly what the rumors of home warranties advertise. They will take your money and not perform what you thought you were paying for when something expensive does happen. Do not do business with Service One.
Steve B. was friendly, patient and extremely helpful. He answered all my questions and showed real appreciation for my house. I would trust him to do any work in my house.
$80 to come out and take a look at my hot water heater. Quoted $330 to install two heating elements. Made me feel unsure about repair when he said "Not sure about the life of your thermostats" then offered to do the thermostats for an additional $400 or replace the unit entirely for $800. I told him to forget the whole thing, Paid the diag charge and went to lowes and bought two heating elements for $20 and installed them in 20 minutes. Thanks
Cliff was so great - Our furnace stopped putting out hot air so I called at 5:40 am, the office opened at 7am, he came at 9:15am and had the furnace fixed by 9:30! He knew exactly what the problem was and was very professional. Thanks, Cliff!!! ...back to being warm again!
Horrible customer service. If you’re wanting people to return your phone calls or repair items quick, DON’T go through ServiceOne. Our water heater went out 5-6 months ago and it was 5 days before they got a part and fixed it. Our water heater went out 1 week ago. We were told it would be another 5 days to get a part and fix it. Five days has come and gone and when we try to contact someone they say our part “might” be in within the next couple days! The manager will not return our phone calls. Sean got the job done. He was polite and focused on providing quality service in a timely way. I have enjoyed Service One for decades. Sean and the other technician are first class.
Randy G. came by for my seasonal heater check. He was professional, courteous, and thorough, and answered all my questions. He explained the results of the 22 point furnace inspection and also explained how my energy efficient unit saves me money. I've been a Service One customer for over 20 years. The service and the technicians are top-notch!
