I have been a member of this union for over 5 years at Allegheny General and to this point the Union has been zero benefit aside from a minimum annual raise that is pretty much absorbed by union dues. Anytime we have time-sensitive issues such as staffing; getting a callback can take days, if at all. I would like a different union organization to represent my facility.

My experience with this union has been a nightmare they agree to things with management when it first should be taken to the union employees they use scare tactics and they refuse to let’s us have an election to vote for our union reps 3 people from our union meet with management and decide what’s good for the whole building our union president turns in union employees for petty stuff this is why unions don’t belong in healthcare this union especially
I have a "grievance" still open from February. No one follows up with me as they say they will. This really is not a complicated issue. Isn't there a time limit as to how long you let this go on?
Safer staffing ratios mean safer health care. Union nurses are experienced professionals. Because they have a union you don’t have the burn-and-churn turnover other non-union hospital systems have.
Collective bargaining is always better than bargaining by yourself.
