Made a reservation for an upcoming trip and had to cancel due to the pandemic increase. We had purchased the insurance so I was confident of getting a refund. Found out the insurance only qualified us for a refund Instead of credit with the company. However, we did not get a full refund, only partial. What a rip-off. I cancelled over 3 weeks prior to our trip and still couldn’t get a full refund. I had not even returned the confirmation for the trip but they didn’t care!

I purchased the Whill Chair from Scootaround because it was the cheapest price selling them. I called to get more information about the chair before ordering and spoke with Michael Yaremus who I believe is the retail sales lead for this chair. He knew a lot about the chair and was very helpful. When I went to order the next day, I could not get the website to work so I ended up calling him and having him order it for me over the phone. My brother in law rented a scooter from here for a crui6we had booked because he was waiting for a knee replacement. our cruise has been canceled for the 2nd time & he has had his knee replacement done. He has called several times & can't even get a human to talk to, recording tells him NO REFUNDS. So now we are going to social media with friends & family to warn people of this company!!!!!
Beware of jacked up prices. I rented back in January 2020. When the scooter arrived, the rental fee from the local company was $250.00 + $35.00 for delivery. The cost per Scootaround was $385.00. Scootaround had tacked on a fee of $100.00 - 40%! Then they wanted $105.00 when I asked about extending for ONE DAY. Tried going through a Scootaround rep and was stonewalled. Never got any satisfaction.
Do not recommend. Parents had a very bad experience.

Very disappointed. Rented a scooter for husband to use at the NRA Annual meeting. Due to Coronavirus Pandemic the meeting was cancelled . I had paid for the scooter rental at the time of booking. I contacted Scootaround and informed them that the event was cancelled (6 weeks notice). They would not refund my money, they offered a “credit”. The cancellation of the event was not my fault. The country is shut down. This is wrong on their part. They are taking advantage of people.
