I went to my appt today at 8 am and was greeted to a group of employees who seemed to be a very angry group I pulled in got out of my trk an employee yelled out customer service is on the other side so I started over there someone else yelled out move your truck I looked around didn't see this person then someone yelled out your truck is in my way so I got back in my trk not sure where to go as its very narrow and all the satellite trks made it tighter as they were loading there trks then a very nice gentleman that saw what ... read more

I had a 10:30am appointment that was made 2 weeks ago at Safelight-Austin on Howard Road location to replace and calibrate the front windshield of my Cadillac XTS on 03/16/2021. The weather was overcast and the road a little damp. After a 45 minute drive with traffic, I’m now pulling into their parking lot of Safelight. Yesterday, March 15th, I had an appointment for Safelite AutoGlass to come to my house between the hours of 1:30 pm and 5:30 pm. I had to take 4 hours off from work in order to be available for this appointment. At about 5:10, when no one had shown up yet and after receiving no email, call or text updating me on the situation I called Safelite to see what the problem was. I have now tried on 2 separate occasions to do business with safelite. Neither time did anyone show up to replace my windshield. This most recent time, my appointment was canceled without my knowledge. I was informed it was canceled 2 days prior and I was not in any way notified and they had the correct information because I did receive the confirmation (both text and email) when i made the original appointment. I made an appointment to get my windshield replaced on 3/5 between 12 and 5. At approximately 5 minutes to 5 I received a call from "Kyle" that he had just received my work order and picked up the glass. He said he knew it was after my appointment time, but that he could be there in 30 minutes. I had to go, but told him my husband would be home and I took his car to my job. Found a crack across my windshield out of nowhere and knew Safelite should have a replacement in stock. So I went through the online process of getting a quote and scheduling. Quote was $380 before taxes and disposal fees. Seemed high, but I had to get it done. Dropped my car off the next morning before they open. While I'm waiting for an estimated finish time, my husband happens to go through the quote process online again for a price breakdown. Now the quote is $140 cheaper! Two technicians came out to replace my windshield on 1/30/21 from the Oakland Park Ft. Lauderdale office. Both Marlon and Matthew were super professional and very nice guys. They did a thorough job and were kind enough to answer my questions about the process as they were taking the broken windshield out and putting the new one in. Excellent service and they were both very nice, which is such a pleasure these days. Highly recommended!
