Safe Auto is the worst insurance company ! I had a very minor accident, no fault of my own. Safe Auto was very hard to work with. Customer service representatives are all extremely rude, I was cussed at and hung up in on more than one occasion. Also still waiting to be refunded for my deductible from my no fault accident, it’s been 2months ! I am so glad I found a new insurance company for half the rates I was paying. I wish I could give safe auto zero stars.

Absolute worst auto insurance company I have ever had in my 16 years of driving. I would never recommend this company to anyone, not even someone I hated. I started a policy with them for my Colorado insurance in December and started it on the 1st. You pay your first month to start a policy. Nine days later on December 10th, they harassed me for my January payment. I was like, “wtf!? Is this an error? I literally just paid a bill. This company is a thief and in the middle of the pandemic just doesnt care about anyone's issues. My first issue is the lady selling knew I hadn't had insurance in 6 years but they wait until 2 Bill's and extra $40 later to let me know the bill is changing to 174 a month due to not being able to show proof of insurance since I hadn't owned anything in 6 years. Then I needed my bill extended by less then 8 hours and they weren't willing to do it. Just save yourself the hassle and money and look anywhere but safe auto

I have had a claim, the first one, since December 19th. They determined that my truck was a total loss due to a attempted theft, on December 29th I was told this was a total loss and I have yet to hear from anyone concerning the settlement on this issue. I have made numerous phone calls and continue to be told it is with the total loss department and someone will call me. I obtained my safe auto policy in January 2020. In October 2020, I was involved in an accident. As of Nov. 2020, this has not been resolved. I reported the accident the next day and has yet to have my vehicle examined by an adjuster. Nate is not very good at all and rude. Safe Auto does not communicate and I have been calling every week sometimes many times a week with no resolution. Got hit by one of their clients Saturday afternoon. Got his info and police report, they won't answer the phone. I've just been put on hold over and over. I'm going to have to go through my own insurance and let them deal with this awful company. Safe Auto, you suck!

I was hit by one of their drivers July 11, 2020 I called to report the claim the day after it was a minor fender bender and the person that hit me his girlfriend was on the policy and it was right in front of their house so she came out and gave me the information we took pictures and exchange numbers I called safe auto no phone call back no nothing I called a month later they told me that because the person driving wasn’t on the insurance they’re going to investigate in the state of Virginia it doesn’t matter who’s driving ... read more

One of their drivers hit me. It has now been 1 month and I have not received a call from an adjuster. I have been attempting to get a hold of someone for ONE, MONTH. My headlight is destroyed, my bumper is messed up, and the customer service line only tells me to wait for the adjuster to call me in 2-3 days. The adjuster's phone number they gave me only goes straight to their voicemail that you cannot leave a message on. This company needs to be wiped off the face of the earth.

Not a great insurance company. Talk to u any kinda way. Don't like to pay for claims. Wouldn't tell a friend about this company beware don't do it. Customer service no help. They act like u owe them
