A women destroyed my car her insurance is safe auto. She hit me 2 months ago. They dragged there feet for two months then the finally decided to settle they took my car and now I have to wait 2 weeks till I even see any money from it. That was my only car they took. They are so slow and the lack of help they have given me is sad. I can't afford to just go buy another car or rent a car till then. They took my car and gave me nothing to use tI'll I get the check. Worst experience ever

I started a policy with this company and was pleased with my rate of $220. I pre-payed my policy each month and 6 months in I prepaid my amount. I never received any mail or phone calls regarding my renewal rate (why would I ignore them if I pre-pay each month) I pre-paid $240. My renewal rate was apparently up to $270. They cancelled my policy without my knowledge and my bank that holds my car loan began charging me $200 for not having insurance. I am not even a member of Safe Auto and will never be based on my experience with a claim. A Safe Auto insured driver rear ended me and I put in a claim. I had to do the job of the adjuster and take my own pictures and videos to send them through a Safe Auto app so they could do an "estimate". They did the estimate and sent me a check and promised me a rental car while my car was being repaired. I ended up having to pay 4 days for a rental car because they did not want to pay for a whole week that I was without my car. I go ... read more

1 day in and already demonstrating highly unethical practices. Raised my rate not only once, but TWICE in 1 day! Upon investigating further, no explanation was given for the additional increase and was told I will be hearing from a supervisor/manager for a further explanation; never happened! Only customer service department any worse is ATT!

This company is horrible. Everytime I called they never answered the customer service line. And when they do I would here them breath into the microphone and then mute me! I have recorded 15+ minute wait times, just to get a muted response. I end up having to dial 2 instead to get a quote just to get someone instantly. I have been a customer for 6 months and today I cancelled! My policy went up from $419 (which is already high for only two cars) to $485! Seriously? Almost $500 for auto insurance? Safe auto is a joke! I called when I was buying a new vehicle. I told them that I needed what ever insurance that was going to be compliant with the finance company! I was sold the wrong policy,when finalizing paper work it was caught (15 mins later) called them back explained that they sold me the wrong policy and we changed it to what we needed. When I got into an accident there was a few problems. First I only had liability, so I knew the company would have no need to see my car since there would be no reimbursement. When I called the next day and talked to them the representative in claims told me I would still need to keep it in the tow yard until I could talk to the adjuster that would be assigned to me which would take up to two business days. My 2016 ****Mustang GT (13,000 miles) was damaged by a SafeAuto customer. SafeAuto uses (I'm not joking) cell phone photos to estimate accidents. Don't laugh....it's true. So, then they give you a low-ball estimate...USING NON-OEM parts...They want to put a China knock off bumper cover on my nearly new Mustang. My car isn't even a year old. They want to put a China knock-off headlight assembly in my Mustang. They want to use a "reconditioned" wheel on my car. Worst insurance company at a high price. Initial quote went up significantly after first payment. No savings with janky coverage. My car, keys and purse was stolen. Police found car 2 days later with just a broken window. Since thieves had the keys I needed car towed from location right away. I called safe auto to have car towed and adjuster told me he couldn't authorize a tow and for me to get it myself even though I paid for roadside assistance AND car rental.
