I just want to warn everyone this company charges top dollar for minimum coverage unlike their advertisements. I was receiving a bill every week for $300 or more when my monthly payment was only supposed to be $100 a month and kept receiving cancellation notices if I didn't keep paying. I called to question why I was receiving so many bills and that surely I was paid up for the next 6 months and they stated I was not and still owed more. I opened a new policy on 04/03/2017. I called Safe Auto on 04/08/2017 to explain that I am on disability, and receive payments on the 3rd of each month. The first person I spoke with told me I would have a lapse in coverage if I could not make a payment by 05/02/2017, and there would be about a $16 fee if I were to change the billing cycle. I called another person, and I was told I would have to do a "policy rewrite" in order to change the billing cycle. Worse company I have ever worked with. they took my money then a day later raised my quote by 100% went from 250.00 to 500.00 on first bill. Total bait and switch!!!
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! BE AWARE THAT THERE IS AN APPLICATION FEE ALONG WITH A CANCELLATION FEE. PER SUPERVISOR THAT INFORMATION IS STATED ON THE WEBSITE BUT I NEVER SAW IT. NO WONDER THEY HAVE SUCH A POOR RATING.

I bought an insurance car policy from safe auto. I did it on the internet. All was approved and I received a policy. A week later i was sent a bill for additional money. I cancelled the policy and was told that i owed additional money. The company is saying that the information I entered is not the same information that they received, I want a refund for the money i paid them to initiate the policy. My policy # is ******** I bought my policy on 11/13/16 and my new bill was due on 11/30/16. That's just 17 days. Then there was an additional charge of 20 dollars added to my bill for some type of unexplained premium adjustment. The questions i have are why was my new bill due so soon after just purchasing the policy and what is an MIFollow Up adjustment of 20 dollars?
Safe Auto is the worst of the worst when it comes to claims. They dive head first into any loophole that they can find. In my case another driver forced me off the road, completely messing up my rear end as I got shoved into a ditch. The claims adjuster said it was preexisting damage and refused to believe that tires can wear in about 5 miles down to the belts. New car new world..to include extended warranty coverage. I was solicited with "immediate attention required" from this business with several different pieces of mail over the course of one week. I was involved in an accident with their client. A claim was made with a police report. The report stated their client was at fault. A month later, after a half dozen conversations, they just keep by so long me to call my own insurance company. They first said their client filedvthe claim, then said their client wouldn't talk to them, from there after they just said call your own insurance if you want your far fixed.
