RecommendedI have a number of dogs and cats. I am fortunate to have a super general practice vet up where I live. I work there part time. But when we have advanced or emergency needs, I am totally impressed by the entire staff at VCA Referral. I think I have had animals in every department. They are all SUPER! Called ahead about my dog having a seizure for 5+ minutes. They took her from me outside due to coronavirus which I understand but she was clearly scared to leave me. They then kept her muzzled in a kennel for 2 hours and when I called for an update she hadn’t even been seen, no vitals nothing. A dog that just had a stressful seizure should never be taken from their owner to be put in a kennel muzzled alone and not watched!!!! These guys are the best! It's really nice to have all the diagnostic tools available.
Today we visited the VCA Center because my dog needed an important surgery outside the scope of our local vet. The staff and surgeon were very personable and took the time to talk with us about his condition and the procedure being performed. When we picked him up, again we were greeted and were given time to discuss the results and the aftercare needed. Overall it was a very positive experience and I want to thank them for their efforts and caring hands to bring forth the best outcome for my pet.
Staff was so wonderful. Examine was comprehensive and thorough.
I brought my fur baby Freya to them. shec unfortunately passed away. I was taken very good care off. the lovecn support they showed was n is the best.

Miss piggy back is sore today had to take her down to VCA in Sacramento! To get some pain meds, more laser treatment! It’s okay she worth every penny!!! I love the staff here so friendly and they remember her every time!
