My experience with Roto Rooter has been different from most reviews. We had a clogged sewer drain. The problem was addressed same day. They let me know every step of the process what they were doing and why. I don't feel they did any unnecessary work. They came back when we began to experience other issues unrelated to the first problem. They were always cheerful and professional. I felt that my problem was handled efficiently.

My main sewer line is clogged and i was in the middle of a waterproofing job i was having done in my basement, they wanted me to get it fixed first. So i called roto rooter a worker came out about 3 hours later looked in my basement and said yeah you have a clog and it'll be 425$ to clear it, so i said ok, he went to his truck to get the auger which he had a very hard time dealing with so i helped him, we got it into the basement he started clearing the clog and some roots came up he did a while longer then called him superv... read more

My complaint is on the business practices. Back in December 2021, i had a flooded basement on my rental property. Rotorooter came out and punched the line clear. They said i need ckean up and sanitation due to sewage. I agreed if my insurance would cover, i said let me call them, he said no we do that. I did not hear from my insurance or Rotorooter but they started working. So i called my insurance guy and he said no coverage. I told them to remove your equipment immediately, they did. Do not use this company! They are shady and dishonest and performing work that does not need to be done in order to charge more. We had a sewage back-up in our home, due to roots growing through the sewage pipes in the front yard, at the end of February. Our insurance company was unable to immediately send someone out, as it was a Sunday morning, so we found Roto-Rooter online and they were able to come address our problem immediately. Needed a sewer line clean and scope for our house's buyers. Roto Rooter gave me a time window of 10-12pm and came at 7. I waited all day for them, calling every two hours to verify the service I needed because they seemed so disorganized. When the tech came, he said he wasn't able to access the line (someone already had that week, so it's certainly possible) and couldn't do video work for two weeks. Super sleazy that they get you 'on the schedule', waste your time, and then fail to deliver.

I was within 5 days of closing on the sale of my house when a steel drain pipe began to leak. I called Roto Rooter because I thought it would be more likely that I would receive same day service. I did receive same day service, but that was the only positive aspect of this interaction. The plumber was not prepared for the job. He had to leave my house twice to purchase supplies. Ive called this company to do a re-pipe for a home I just recently purchased. Just to get on the schedule was an adventure a lot of miscommunication between the dispatchers and the plumbers. I am not sure who is managing the service side for plumbing right now but they are doing a terrible job I have requested to speak to them over five times within two weeks and still have yet to get a call they actually had somebody that had no significant title call me as if they were reaching out on the managers behalf when in reality th... read more

Water was leaking under my kitchen sink. Made an appointment to check it leak. On 5/20/22 RoTo Rooter plumber came out to fix the valve, installed a basket strainer, replaced trap from basket strainer. Afterwards he turned the water back on then noticed there was still a water ******* noise. It was coming from under the base board in which he cut open to determine it was a bust pipe in the concrete slab. Paid him $1,496. These guys are fraudulent. I have half a mind to turn them over to the media. Came out to my house gave me an estimate of 1,000 dollars, and they couldn’t get the second guy to show up. He saw that I was a veteran and gave me 150 off? Didn’t know the plumber could do that without calling a boss or something. It was a simple drain fix on my bath tub. AND I HELPED HIM DO IT.
