This company promised service within a given timeframe. After waiting for them, I had to call to find out why they had not arrived. Had to wait an additional hour and a half. I own one duplex and because it was a rental, they charged commercial rate which is not fair practice and was never done before. I paid the $650 bill to clear a simple line as it would take longer to get another company. This company will never get my business agsin.

We had a sudden back up of our kitchen sink. I called Roto-Rooter thinking that they would have afairly standard price and reliable service. Sure enough they could come out the same day for which I was grateful. When they looked at the sink they said it would be $429 which I thought was awfully expensive but again I felt it was Roto-Rooter and they would charge me a fair price. How wrong I was. The rating should be no stars. Apparently the business model is to tell you upfront that there will be a 99 trip fee that will go toward the eventual repair. The Technician will provide an estimate when he reviews the problem. Well the technician did provide the estimate for the .5 hour repair, which was $450 plus the cost for a 4 inch pipe. The $900 per hour rate was too steep for me so I was beat out of the $99. trip fee. Customer service was fine, everything was set up. This was an emergency issue as we are having water leaking from the toilet onto the bathroom floor. Everything was set and then after two hours of waiting, I received a call that no one could come out today. This was extremely disappointing because if I had been given this information from the beginning, I would have sought other means to get this problem resolved. Needless to say, I cannot recommend Roto-Rooter.

Horrible. I had an appointment for Wed between 5:30 and 9:30 that they rescheduled for Friday between 5:00 and 8:00 that they rescheduled for Saturday between 10:00 and 12:00. I called at 12:00, 3:00, 6:00 and 9:00 and the first three times they said they were running late and the last time they claimed they called me at 6:00, when I was on the phone with them, and when I didn't answer they went on to the next job.

I had water damage in kitchen..my faucet was leaking and I had standing water under the sink. The water restoration people came out. The seemed like the cared...i was told they were worried about mold..i was told by the supervisor that he would come out and check on the progress of my cabinets being dried out. Roto-Rooter would come between 12 & 4 the following day. They ran late, arriving after 4pm. Could only work through the toilet by removing it and the Charge would be $869. I would not accept and told him to cancel. After a phone conservation with manager they accepted $500. I not knowing normal charges and really needing it fixed ok'd this. At one point I over heard the plumber talking on his phone to another that business was slow and they somehow needed to generate more revenue. This bothered me at the time. They are very unprofessional..they like to take advantage of senior citizens and disabled veterans. This company needs ****down. I am filing a class action law suit against this company. If anyone wants to join let me know..they cut my carpet in places that may not be able to fix and said..that's not our responsibility..I'm digging deeper into this company..I think they are very shady..I have family in politics and I have worked in law enforcement many years. User BEWARE. I called this company for a backed up kitchen drain. The blockage was not in my P-trap and I was not able to clear it with my small drain snake. They told me that they couldn’t provide me with a price to clear it, but the service call would be $70 and their Tech would give me a price once he arrived. The price, $459.00, for a ten minute job.
