If I could give a 0 star I would. But that isn't possible. Hot water tank went out, called roto rooter on 12/27. They technician named Alex came out 12/28. He could figure out the problem, and came back with a quote of 8 thousand dollars for a whole new tank and "upgrading the system" we got a second opinion on 12/29. The pipes were frozen! How does one no obviously problem solve frozen pipes and instead try to rip somebody off for 8 thousand dollars. Nothing wrong with the service person. But the price was ridiculous at best...3k for a water heater ? The heater was 750, extra parts 200 *** and they charged me **** for parts ? What..? and then add on the fact they charged 400 per hour for 3 hours..Unfortunately we needed it replaced, but this is price gouging plain and simple.I called lowes where the heater was purchased and they said *** 2k installed, 3 other plumbers agreed with that but probably less.. The trap from the house to the street was clogged. To verify this I took the 4" plug off the pipe and there was standing water. Call Rotor Rooter. They came the next day. The service tech put a snake down the drain and cleared the blockage. Done in 5 minutes. Bill...$610. Definitely call a plumber before you use this company and save yourself some major cash. Definitely do not recommend this company.

So unprofessional, they canceled my work slip and never showed after I took the morning off work with no pay. I never received an email or phone call. They expect me to do the same thing in a couple days. They are full of crap and not even sorry they ruined my day and I sold my condo and have to b out of here in a few days. ********!!!! Never AGAIN!!!!!

Roto rooter came to our to snake a sewer problem. They could not snake said we needed camera guy. Camera guy said it was not passable and it needed to be dug up at a cost of 7500.. we didnt let them do job and had ********plumbing jett clean the line us did a street dry test for 700. Roto rooter did not know what they were doing.

HORRIBLE!!! We called 48 hours ago and still no one decided to show up. We were told they couldn't do the next day but our window would be 9am - 1pm the following. 10:14am they called and said we were "on their list". 11:15am I called and said I had to leave but my husband would leave work and meet them here. 12:56pm - they called and "dispatch" said they were running behind and "they would be there shortly". 4:53pm - we called and asked where they were since we've been waiting 8 hours. Called Roto Rooter at 1:07am for a plumbing emergency as I was about to leave town the next day for the holiday. Was told someone would be out for service between 2 and 6am. Come 6:30am I call again and am told I’ll be put on the priority list and will receive a call by 8:30am. Come 9:30 I call again and am just told I am “next”. I do not receive a call that the servicer is on his way until 11:15 and am told he is 30min away. He does not arrive for another 1.5hours. Proceeds to tell me that shaking my drain will cost $482. I called Roto-Rooter to come and fixed my water heater. The water heater is in the attic and leaked water down all the way to the garage. RR came out an hour later, but it was their water damage and restoration team. They accessed the damages and told us and even assured us our insurance would cover the cost of the water damages and we had to pay out of pocket only for the new water heater. RR Tech wanted $1226 plus $ 60 on parts to replaced a plastic pipe union that other plumbing company did for $60 (and it took him 16minuts to do it). It is insane!! Using a dubious, to me, billing scheme. And this was on a tuesday morning appointment. Got a call from a supervisor today and basically the tech was withing RR policy. I will expose my experience on other platforms. Over $1226 to replace a plastic connector is insane, but for RR is normal.
