They came to my home and charged $475 for 15min of work to replace a $10 part. This replacement of the part was at my request as the plumber couldn't locate the leak. They then charge $250 to cut a 8x10 hole in my ceiling, a 2 minute job and couldn't offer a explaination of leak. I called company to complain and he felt cost of time was justified as he informed me the hourly rate was $410 plus adding in driving time. Good Afternoon,My complaint is against Roto Rooter.I called to schedule an appointment to clean/snake out my kitchen sink and my waste pipe. I asked the woman approximately how much it would cost. I was told they could not give me a price over the phone when the technician came he would look at what had to be done. I was never told there was a minimum charge of $565.00. Roto-rooter came to my house 11/18/2021 to repair a drain issue where water was shooting out of the washing machine drain line after snaking both the washing machine drain line and the kitchen drain line and replacing the pipes under the kitchen sink (I was told there was a leak and was charged $596. 12) I was told the lines where clear and to have the septic tank pumped. Roto Rooter employee ********************************* came to my house to start a clean up, after a deluge rain fall caused water damage in our downstairs. I had called in a 2nd company as well for a quote, and time they could start. When 2nd company arrived ********* snapped at the competition saying she's handling the mitigation! If I could give a 0 star I would. But that isn't possible. Hot water tank went out, called roto rooter on 12/27. They technician named Alex came out 12/28. He could figure out the problem, and came back with a quote of 8 thousand dollars for a whole new tank and "upgrading the system" we got a second opinion on 12/29. The pipes were frozen! How does one no obviously problem solve frozen pipes and instead try to rip somebody off for 8 thousand dollars. Nothing wrong with the service person. But the price was ridiculous at best...3k for a water heater ? The heater was 750, extra parts 200 *** and they charged me **** for parts ? What..? and then add on the fact they charged 400 per hour for 3 hours..Unfortunately we needed it replaced, but this is price gouging plain and simple.I called lowes where the heater was purchased and they said *** 2k installed, 3 other plumbers agreed with that but probably less.. So unprofessional, they canceled my work slip and never showed after I took the morning off work with no pay. I never received an email or phone call. They expect me to do the same thing in a couple days. They are full of crap and not even sorry they ruined my day and I sold my condo and have to b out of here in a few days. ********!!!! Never AGAIN!!!!!

The trap from the house to the street was clogged. To verify this I took the 4" plug off the pipe and there was standing water. Call Rotor Rooter. They came the next day. The service tech put a snake down the drain and cleared the blockage. Done in 5 minutes. Bill...$610. Definitely call a plumber before you use this company and save yourself some major cash. Definitely do not recommend this company.
