I was scheduled for Trigger Finger surgery today with Dr Kistler. After numbing my hand, I was told he would see me in 25 to 30 minutes. In the mean time, the nurse had me change into a gown, etc. She then took my glucose reading and said it was high. I have high sugar, but this has never been an issue with me as far as getting anything done, I've had diabetes for a long time and it doesn't really effect me as it does other people. If you have over an hour to wait for an appointment, it may be fine. I didn’t so I wouldn’t know the quality of Dr. Reeves at Lake Nona location. It’s ridiculous to not even give patients an idea as to how long they would have to wait for a scheduled appointment.

Was approved by my Insurance to Have a PRP injection in my shoulder. They told me that your insurance is the first co. to cover the Injection. A week later they call me back and tell me it’s not covered because it’s not FDA Approved. They happen to be an in-network provider. The cost of the injection is $2,150. So evidently they want the cash payment and not the insurance’s money. Rothman has gotten so big, that they are not worried about losing a patient or 2. Very sad. I have done 2 separate billing inquiries with no response. I was seen at the lake Mary Florida location in April. I was told I needed a boot. When I went into the room where they do the fitting they only had very large boots which I didn’t need since it was only a broken toe. He advised it’s all they had. When I saw all the numbers on the paper I said I can’t pay this and I can just get my boot online then. He said no the final cost is $27 and I said that’s all I will need to pay and he said yes. Rothman Ortho employs great doctors. However their billing department is a mess. They make a lot of billing mistakes, rarely pick the phone and never follow up on the online billing inquiry they ask patients to use when they can't get help on the phone. Will switch to Penn Medicine-also great doctors but more patient friendly

My primary dr sugested i go for sciatica probs going down into my legs w/burning & tingling.. I saw Dr Amy Scheider who told me to go for phy therapy to strethen my lower back & we’d take it from there. My 1st vist w/a phy therapist at Rothman on Street rd his name was Brent or Brendan not sure he had me doing various exercises & had me get up on the table & swing my legs side to side - he reached over & pushed on my left side & there was a “pop sound” it hurt - he said “tht never happened before” & continued showing me exer... read more
