Saving Downey residents from bad hair days!! – I've been looking for a stylist for years!!! Monique at Urban Roots saved me from a bad hair day when I have a double weddings one Saturday. She styled my hair perfectly and a got tons of compliments that day. I decided to go back to have her do a cut and color and I am so happy I went back!! Great Stylist!!!! – This was my first time at Urban Roots Salon, and i loved my experience! From the time i made my appointment, until the time i check out, my experience was awesome. I consider myself to be very picky client and don't trust alot of hair stylist. Since, i have had a couple of bad experiences in the past. WOW!!! – First I have to thank city search for leading me in the right direction. I have been looking and searching for a salon near my house, I live in Downey and came across Urban Roots Salon form reading the reviews on city search. Great stylists! – There is only 1 person in this world that I trust with my hair and that is Krissy. I've been getting my hair done by her for over 10 years and I've never been disappointed. She's fantastic with color!!!! People stop me all the time and ask me where I get my hair done. My friends love her and get there hair done by her too. Fantastic Fablous Service With No Attitudes – I just have to give proper thanks to my new stylist Krissy. I had my hair cut and highlighted by her. I can't even explain how amazing my hair looks. This girl is a pro. I haven't found a salon I could call home, but now I finally can. This salon has it all!! – Hi there! I made my appointment over the phone and I wasn't sure if they would have anything open for a cut, color and style for the same day of my call, but sure enough there was a super friendly person on the phone whose name was Rosey! Without Words – After reading the post below, I was very compelled to write a rebuttal... I have been going to URS for quite some time. I know all of the stylists as well as Rosie personally. It is unfortunate that an ex-employee and ex-friend of the owner would have audacity to write a review with utter hatred. Pure Awesomeness! – I've been to Urban Roots twice already and i will definitely go back for more of Ashley. =) For my first visit I got a haircut and color service. Ashley did an awesome job on my haircut and peek-a-boo highlights. For my second visit i went in for a bodywave soft perm and i loved it. (Time went by pretty fast...i didn't even get to taste the latte she made me. ) lol Urban Roots Salon is a perfect place for quality salon services. Rosey (the owner) is a GREAT PERSON!!! – *****DOWN BELOW, "someone" left a bad review, now for those of you who don't know this (why would you?), it was left by an ex-employee who is just upset and bad mouthing a dear friend of mine out of spite.
