great cutting edge salon thats actually affordable – i've been to urban roots many times, but my last visit was my first with stylist kat who gave me an awesome new hair color that she recommended (over the one i had picked out) and i have to say i'm glad i listened, the color ended up complimenting me wonderfully... so all in all those stylists really have a knack for knowing what will look good on you! and to top it off they were having a buy one get one free on their styling products, so i ended up getting a 16 dollar con... read more
Expert Stylists – I went to Urban Roots for the first time primarily to meet with "Chemo", who is an excellent stylist. The staff quikly greeted and offered me a beverage. Chemo was gracious and attentive while I explained my reason for being there. The other stylists were all friendly and caring and seemed to show great customer service. Best Stylist – Walking into the Salon with no appointment i was expecting to be turned away. But that was not the case with Urban Roots. I received a happy welcome and was promptly introduced to Chemo. The "great" stylist that would cut my hair. He was to say the least very talkative(where i lacked) very funny, and very charming. Great Salon! – I have been looking a Salon close to my house, finally decided to try Urban Roots, read some reviews, and was satisfied. My experience was great Chemo my stylist listened to what I had to say and worked with me. I explained the frustrations I had with my last to stylist sand needed to fix what they had done. He did a great job! I will be back!!! and Cat the assistant shampooed my hair and gave me a great massage had a headache and it was gone after my shampoo.
Best Place Ever – CHEMO is THE BEST!!!!! He is wonderful and he understood my vision..everyone in the salon has such a great personality i would recommend them to anyone.
Nobody does it better...hair that is – This one is for Chemo...absolutely the best, i can trust him in his opinions.The entire staff is great they all know what they're doing and theyre very good at it. It's a fun atmosphere. I absolutely love my hair.
ANNA is the best! – I am so happy with my new look that anna gave me! I was a first time client, and was nervous about trying something new with my hair. Anna took the time to look through style books with me and discussed options that would work with my needs. I even got a few highlights put in! The place was a hip and fun, and everyone was really friendly! the whole staff made me feel welcome even though i wasnt getting my hair done by them... which is rare. out of all the salons in downey... urban roots is by far the best... read more
i did not like it i wasted my time – This place was not what i expected when i got there they had me wait forever the person that was supposed to do my hair was too buzy doing some one else's hair and did not even bother coming to me and saying sorry it is taking so long or anything, and then i ended up having some other clown that wasted my time and money i dont think any one that wants nice hair should go here

URS Made my "I Do's" Gorgeous!! – What an awesome way to start my Wedding Day! Rosey and her staff did such an amazing job on my bridal party make-up and hair.(All "9" of us!) Everthing ran like clock work..what a relief for me and my Bridezilla nerves! I loved that I had a trail hair and make-up run. Rosey had everything organized and ready to go! My wedding was Gorgeous thanks to Urban Roots Salon!
