I would highly recommend Dr. Boykin. He is easy to talk to, and provided me with lots of information about the surgery and what it would entail, including recovery time. He personally spoke to my family member post-surgery with updates.
Dr. Boykin has been treating my shoulder issues for six years. I can highly recommend him. He explains everything, shows concern and caring. I also recommend Emerge Orthopedics for other joint problems. I have also found their Physical Therapy Department to be excellent.

Everything about my experience was great. From diagnosis to surgery. His professionalism and knowledge of my situation made me feel very confident about a positive outcome. At six months out I sometimes forget which shoulder was operated on. I'm back to doing anything I want!
I just had my first visit with Dr. Boykin. He spent a considerable amount of time reviewing with me the history of my shoulder problem, explaining the X-rays and going over my options. He was very thorough and instilled confidence in me of his abilities.
I saw Dr Boykin for my left shoulder which has been bothering me for years. He took the time to get to my situation and did a thorough examination including x-ray. He was open and honest about the state of my shoulder (advanced arthritis) and spent time going over my treatment options with no pressure to choose one or another. Dr. Boykin repaired my shoulder 4 months ago. Before I couldn't lift a jug of milk out of the refrigerator - now I am completely fixed and getting my life back in order. He was highly recommended by other physicians, and other patients, and he did an exceptional job. He listens to your concerns, addresses them in a manner you can understand, and guides you through your options and care. Every part of my experience with Dr. Boykin was exceptional. Dr. Boykin did surgery on my shoulder to repair rotator cuff tear and correct other issues. Excellent results and I would recommend Dr. Boykin to anyone needing shoulder surgery. The entire team at Emerge Ortho are terrific. Definitely my choice for any future surgery or physical therapy.
