I DO NOT recommend going to the ER, I went in with complaints of sharp pain to my side and chest, Saundra Winstead, MD; was the dr that took my case and she told her assistant I had slight tenderness, which isn’t how I described my pain. She sent me home telling me not to cough to hard and didn’t do any tests when I told her I was feeling awful with high fevers. I went to Sentara two days later where they found I had pneumonia that turned into sepsis. DO NOT GO HERE. I could’ve died if I didn’t listen to my own body!
Don’t know how to properly triage in the ER. Let a stroke patient sit in the waiting room for 2 hours, while people with 99.5 fevers and stomach bugs were ushered back immediately. Seems like a negligence case waiting to happen.

Reported this hospital once again and I will be talking to a lawyer in order to file a law suit against Dr. J Shaner from your emergency room department. You don't leave someone I a room for hours without speaking to or treating them. My nurse was the best part of my visit. The nurse's manager lied and said I cursed at her. Really sweetie? That's why I record everything. And Dr. J Shaner tried to give me medicine that I am allergic to.
