The nurses in the MICU have been caring for my mother like family. I could not ask for a better team in this difficult time. Very proud to be a former employee of the facility and grateful for our care team currently

Throughout our pregnancy we had several experiences with riverside hospital all of which were great. This past Friday we gave birth to our little girl and loved the entire experience with the staff there. Everyone was extremely attentive and helpful as well as encouraging throughout the entire process. My husband and I are both extremely grateful and thankful for the entire staff here!
Been fighting for months to get a riverside to correctly bill an ER visit to insurance. Be prepared to get billing statements late or nearly late because they tend to make the bill a week before it's stamped and mailed. Expect no feedback when trying to resolve the issue, just warnings about being sent to collections. Sentara is 5 minutes further away. Save yourself the trouble and just go there.
We finally were able to go back to see Ms.Darlene in labor & delivery recovery & let her know how much she meant to us. She was the most sweetest person during our two day stay there. She has a passion for what she does and she will forever be in our hearts. Thank you Ms.Darlene for all that you do!
Excellent care. I love that I can check ER wait times on their website.
We were there at 3:40 in the morning with asthma attack and left at 6:00am without seeing the ER physician. We waited in the triage room (dirtiest room I have ever seen with booger on the patient chair). The nurse gave the treatment- no one checked the blood oxygen- it was the worst service I have ever received in an ER. Our experience with Sentara ER was 1000X better. I will never go back again to Riverside ER.
