We stayed the night for an event. The place in general although nice you can tell hasn’t been revamped. I don’t know why but the place is a sauna. Even our room with the AC on blast was just uncomfortable. The rooms are nothing special and also fairly outdated. Going outside after sunset and even during the evening there are a lot of homeless and what not hanging out in front of the hotel. Surprisingly no security on part of the hotel we ever saw. It’s just a wonderful place to go for a great weekend getaway. Located perfectly around Great restaurants if you want to venture out into the city. A Beautiful Hotel with Amazing Staff
Bellboy stole $250 of uncashed poker chips from our belongings early May... STILL haven’t received the money back. Head of Security and the Manager are both useless and rude: ‘We will not apologise because that is admitting guilt... I’m not sure how they deal with things in the UK but we don’t do it like that in the US’ - Manager, Donald. I also ordered a bottle of wine and was overcharged- Had to get a refund on the overcharge the next morning once I’d realised. Wouldn’t advise anyone to stay there.
I give this hotel a 3. would give it a 5 but room service awful. stayed 3 days for company meeting & only 1 day was serviced. called down to report and was told "it has been checked off it was serviced ". it may have been checked off but room was not serviced. so I asked for clean towels. 5 hours later still no towels. had to call down again to get towels and never apologized for room not being serviced and they forgot towels. rest of hotel was awesome.
Showed up at 5:48pm and room wasn't ready. They tried to add breakfast but was a 45 min wait. Valet was 35 min until we got our car
we had a person in our party have her room broke into by the cleaning staff and items stolen from her (second time this has happened to her in this hotel). half of the sinks in the conference room bathrooms didn't work, there were holes in the walls in the hallways and broken trim on the floors. we had a group of over 100 people with us and they would only schedule one bartender who would not hand out receipts and also took their time getting drinks (usually a 20min wait to order). If you're staying in the Cleveland area I HIGHLY recommend the renaissance hotel, we had the most minor inconvenience getting checked in yesterday so they took $150 off our room! We decided to stay an extra day so they then upgraded us to a bigger room with this GORGEOUS view for the same discounted price they gave us the night before! The staff is so friendly and amazing, I have nothing but great things to say about this place! This has been by far the best birthday ❤❤
Went there for a fundraiser and it was a stunning hotel with plenty of room!
