Dr. Sheppard is an excellent surgeon who concentrates on his patients. He and his staff are very caring and make you feel comfortable. He performed my previous surgery and I am going back to him for anther. He is a good man and I would recommend him to everyone.
Dr Sheppard has treated me 3 times all with success. He is by far one of the top surgeons in my opinion in te Huntsville area.

Dr. Sheppard was an outstanding surgeon. I had reviewed multiple surgeons that dealt with hernias and I decided to go with Dr. Sheppard given the outstanding reviews I had read. From diagnosis to surgery, I wouldn't change a thing. He was incredibly thoughtful and thorough with all the information. I highly recommend him to anyone who has the need of a specialty surgeon.

Doctor Sheppard is not only a skilled surgeon, but caring and empathetic person. He was able to inform me of my surgery options and gave me critical information about my recovery time. He and his staff were able to get me scheduled for surgery in just over a month. I continue to be impressed with his skills and bedside manner.
Dr. Sheppard robotically repaired two inguinal hernias (one I didn't know about until the day of surgery) on an outpatient basis. I didn't have much post-operative discomfort, and what I had didn't require narcotic pain management. The entry wounds were minimal, and they healed quickly and well. My post-surgery followup visit went well and I feel like I'm back to 100 percent. I appreciated Dr. Sheppard's demeanor, skill, and professionalism, and I would definitely recommend him to others.
Grateful, very professional and caring at the same time, he performed my surgery for squamous cell carcinoma in situ, he prayed which I never seen any other Doctors do, it was much appreciated. You need a surgeon I recommend Dr. Sheppard Jr. and his Staff.
