Listen people on the real, when someone especially locals tell you don't fall for the tourist trap, LISTEN....This place ambiance is spectacular especially for the kids. The waiter was amazing, however the food is absolutely horrible. So disappointed. Went to one in Chicago a while back same results. Rainforest cafe shame shame shame shame shame shame. Get your shit together in that kitchen.
The place is beautiful and people are nice but the service sucks and food is too expensive and it's not that good. So take the river ride buy some souvenirs and go eat somewhere else.
Hats off to the waiter and the chef! I was there Saturday 6-17 around 6pm with my family .. I have a pretty bad carrot allergy and so when I Inquired they took it seriously . The Walter got the chef, the chef spoke with me and then went and checked the ingredients of the food I wanted , then came back to assure me. .. when he was done cooking my food the chef brought it out personally and then checked on me later too. Great place to take your kids souvenir shopping. I highly recommend cooling off with drinks & maybe a dessert . . . but as for ordering food, don't waste your money. Food was HORRIBLE & extremely over-priced. Atmosphere is fun & playful, just don't expect a good meal. My grandson's meal looked worse than a school lunch & I had to feed him again later somewhere else. My meal was like cafeteria food as well. Very disappointing, but we enjoyed the entertainment.
It has been a while , but we really liked it. Very nice place to go.
Was an excellent environment and our 2 year old absolutely freaked out in excitement! He loved it. The service was great along with the food. I recommend to anyone and I plan on going back.
The food is over priced. We could barely understand our waiter. Service was slow. Took forever to be waited on. My husband wanted to leave but our 3 year old grandson had waited all day to go and see the animals and the tree frog so we stayed. Never again will I go to the one in Galveston.
