TERRIBLE!!!!!!! This is the WORST CUSTOMER service I have ever incountered. I have been awaiting my dress for 3 months now, after being guaranted it would take two weeks. My dress did not have to be ordered, just altered. After calling several times I am getting no where except hung up on and told "I've had it with you" The manager Cheryl Bruer and the seamstress Sharlene have got to be the rudest people I have encountered. Thank You Purple Parasol!!!! I love the Purple Parasol I bought my dress there last month oct. 2011 and it was gargeous got a nice deal on it too. the services with buying the dress where spectaculare I get a free steaming, I get to choose when I bring it in. I also get a free bodice fitting which is so nice of them. I had a wonderful expirence and am looking forward to seeing my man cry when I come down the isle.
who are these other reviewers? I went to the Purple Parasol with some hesitation, based on the reviews. But, I assume that the people that reviewed the store have trouble anywhere that they go. I had a wonderful experience, as did my wife. Some of these reviews tell about experiences that they had many years ago, some as long ago as the 1980's! My wife enjoyed the free alterations and I enjoyed the smile on my wife's face as she looked so beautiful at our wedding. I advise that you use your own judgement and go to the store.... read more
Deff recommend! I went in to get my sweet 16 dress and the lady helping me was very helpful. She actually picked out my dress. They helped with the alterations and made me feel welcome. I would highly reccomend going there. David's Bridal doesn't really have the best dresses for sweet 16's.
Unhappy Customer The owners are very hostile, they will not give your deposit back. Do not go there unless you have a written contract. They tell you one price, but then charge you more. If you rent a tux, they do not give you the deposit back, and they will threaten to press charges if they are not returned inless that a week. Definetly would not recommend them to anyone!
Great experience! I had a great experience here with my whole wedding party. The only thing I can think about the bad reviews are that these people have problems at all the places they go to and look for trouble. My wedding dress was from here, bridesmaids dresses, tuxes, flower girls, etc. Almost all were altered and fit fine...there was a bridesmaid dress that needed an extra fitting to make it fit just right, but that's to be expected. I am a senior and this year and for our homecoming my freind and I decided to take a trip to portland for a dress. After a day of shopping in the big city we had found nothing, devestated, we came back the next day to tri cities and found purple parasol. i found the perfect dress within 15 minutes of my arrival. Horrible If you enjoy being treated like crap then go on, head over to this store. I decided to go into the store even though I knew that the women were old and rude but it was a last resort and I gave in. Upon arriving at the store the whole esthatic is non appealing. The store is old musty dirty and crowded. The ladies in there were horribly rude. They were very forceful in there suggestions and openly mean to your face. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!! AVOID this place at all cost! I actually wrote a nice review for this placeat one time. I had previosly only dealt with them for Prom gowns. Then I made the mistake of going there for a WEDDING dress as a return customer for my soon to be daughter in law. I apoligize to anyone that read my review and went there. If you cant take my word for it or all the other horrible reviews please do yourself a favor and check with the local police and BBB.
