We have been residents of Prairie Lakes since Sep 2005, over 10 years now. We are both retired and it a great feeling of security when you can rely on staff and maintenance to provide excellent service, care and professionalism for your everyday needs. My job in Chicago closed so my Daughter and I had to move to Peoria. The staff at Prairie Lakes made something so difficult bearable. Everyone was soooo nice and efficient.
I've lived here for 3 years and the maintenance staff and office staff are really on top of things. It's a great community that has a lot of people living here but you don't realize it because people are very respectful of one another. I love my apartment.

I just moved out of Prairie Lakes last week after living there for 2 years. It is a very nice community and the apartments are fantastic. Definitely the best value for your money compared to the others in the Peoria market, rent includes all utilities expect electric. I loved using the gym and pool on site, taking walks around the property with my dog, and fishing out of the beautiful lakes. I enjoy living at prairie lakes. They are nice reasonably priced apartments and maintenance is pretty quick to answer any complaints about the apartments.
It's truly unfortunate that the nicest affordable apartments in Peoria have such awful Internet. I pay for up to 20 Mbps down (which was recently upgraded), but roughly receive only 10% of that speed if I am lucky. Until they allow major ISPs into the complex or a service comparable to it, it will always be subpar if you rely on technology as much as myself.
