Safe place to live. Quiet area. Cheap basic cable option. Nice but small gym on site. Management is nice and tries to get things done promptly, but some annoying things are out of their hands and the result of the corporate office. The apartment itself is nice quality and super clean. The rent includes heating and water, which is great in the winter.

Nice apartments, but nearly unusable Internet. Tenants are only allowed to use the Prairie Lakes provided Internet. For $50/month you get speeds averaging .50 (which is about dial-up speed for anyone who remembers those days) to 2 Mbps during peak times. That is absolutely horrendous and WAY overpriced. In 2014 not having access to usable Internet at your home is completely unacceptable.

I love how (don't really love it just being sarcastic) it snowed about 3 days ago and the snow is not cleared from the parking spaces, couldn't find a parking space tonight had to wedge my self in between cars just to fit because there is too much snow in each space for us to all fit. There is more than enough room during the day to clear the snow. Yesterday I spent about 15 minutes trying to get my wife's car from THE PARKING SPACE, thankfully a neighbor helped me push the car while backing out. Terrible customer service fr... read more

I am so outraged with the lack of professionalism and responsibility that Prairie Lakes management shows their tenants. Sending out a letter telling people to drive safe when it snows and then NOT shovel the sidewalks or plow the parking lots is dangerous no matter how careful you are! However, that is the LEAST of how lazy and unresponsive they are. An entire building has been out of heat on the coldest day of the year, where temperatures reached double digit negatives, and they do nothing about it. Finally calling a third ... read more

There is well over a half inch of snow out here. It's been snowing for days and NO One has come through to shovel out the streets here. This is dangerous and ridiculous. When I moved here I was under the impression that at least the roads would be cleaned once a day after snowing. With all the buildings and all the tenants here, plowing at least once a day should NOT be a problem.
