PNC bank utilizes predatory overdraft practices. On 4/17/19 I purchased Megabus tickets at around $75. I immediately checked my account after the purchase and made a note that the transaction had been deducted from my account via Megabus. 3 days later I noticed that I had an additional $75 in my bank balance and the Megabus transaction had mysteriously vanished from my statement. I think this bank is terrible, I went their with my dad to cash a check. We were treated like we did not belong their. We had a check from our insurance company for a total loss claim, They acted like they did not want to cash the check. Our insurance company uses them, They also charged us 2% to cash the check. I want to know what i can do about this?

We have had the worst experience with PNC since moving to North Carolina. Recently our (my husband and I) joint account was compromised, and thousands of dollars have been stolen out of our (savings) account. This has been an ongoing problem, and basically PNC has shown no interest in correcting it. We have frozen and opened nine different accounts in an effort to remedy this situation. The worst bank ever! Closed my accounts without reason / explanation. I made numerous calls AND visits to the branch and was only told that PNC has the right to close any account without expectation. One of the personal accounts was a National City account that I had log before PNC bought them out. Terrible! Closed my personal, business and credit accounts. I can only thank God that I do not have a mortgage with them! Horrible! I would never recommend using this bank if you are the type to keep accounts long-term.
There are far better banks out there with much better policies, online banking and customer service. This financial institution is by far the worst that I have dealt with from the start. My experience with them has been horrible and I just wanted out. I was closing all of my accounts down and during the process, there was an unauthorized payment pending to my account from a bill for an auto loan that was paid in full a few weeks prior. I had an CD account with PNC bank in Arnold, MO. I did not get receive my tax form from PNC. I thought that was odd so I went into the location. They stated my account had been closed due to no activity. My money has now been handed over to the State of Missouri. PNC needs to develop a better way on notifying their clients on such issues as these.
I had a loan for an rv with them. I sold the rv and paid off the loan. They said that they sent the title and the satisfaction of the lien to me, but approaching a month since the pay off and I haven't received it. I asked for them to send a new satisfaction of the lien overnight, so I can send it to the new owner. I still haven't gotten them to send the document. The new owner cannot retitle or register the rv until I can get this document and file a lost title. They have given several dates on when it was originally sent. ... read more
