I used this bank for about five years, just while I was in school in Illinois. They were consistently easy to work with and nothing sketchy ever happened. After I closed my account, apparently I was sent a check to that closed account, that I would never have found about. They had it reissued as a cashier's check to my new home in California. Maybe my standards are low for the integrity of big banks but I was consistently happy doing business with PNC

Thank you for your feedback, we are happy to provide you the service you deserve! Best of luck in your new home and we hope to have you back as a PNC customer soon!
The absolute worst mortgage customer service I've ever encountered. We previously had a mortgage (and even re-financed) through PNC and everything was fine with them so when we sold our house and built another we thought we'd just go with PNC again. Bad move! Since we were building the house the process started 5 months ago. Initial contact we submitted our necessary paperwork for pre-approval and the first loan office couldn't remember what we discussed and couldn't get simple information straight so we asked for another. N... read more

Now I would like to given ZERO if I could. Finally got a denial letter of my mortgage application from PNC. I have to say I am almost furious about the letter. THE REASON FOR DENIAL IS TOO MANY TRANSACTIONS. We have several bank accounts and we normally transfer money from my direct deposit account with PNC to several other bank accounts for different uses such as savings and kid’s college tuition. I am a practicing physician, in good standing, having FICO score above 830 for years. I applied a loan in 09/2019 and the underw... read more

I WOULD NOT recommend PNC BANK for a car loan. I purchased a car for my son in 2015, financed it for 6 years, and paid it off in 4. After paying the loan off, I waited a few weeks but never received the title or the refund check for the overpayment. I spoke with an agent who told me to give it a week or so. I waited a couple more weeks and still nothing. I called. Back and was told by a different agent that both the check and title had been mailed to an address I moved from 2 years prior. She confirmed that though my new add... read more

I live in Europe and have had an immense amount of time accessing my account. Finally after my Temp pass supposedly being “mailed” to me numerous times I found someone that actually helped me access my account. It took 2 months and caused the 1st time I have never paid an account on time because I was waiting on this temp pin. As soon as I got help and paid it on the phone, first time it was even offered. I immediately got missed payments on my credit report. It fell from a 830 to a 690. So *******glad I closed this account ... read more

Terrible treatment of Customers! My mortgage was transferred to PNC, and I also had received promotional mailers to add/apply for a personal loan from PNC. In researching with a few companies, I ran the application online. After a day, they reached out to me for an alternate employer-verification phone # on a Sunday. I relayed the number form the State of California (my employer) I found on the web (it was Sunday). I transposed a digit by mistake and they then denied the loan because they couldn't verify my Employment (despi... read more

Do not set up an account with this bank. Unfortunately I did over draft my account , and I will not deny that. Here is the time line. Monday It shows that I had $5** in my account. Tuesday it shows that I am $-120. During that day I deposited $124 in my account and by the end of the night it shows that I had $2 left as the available balance. Wednesday I followed up about an additional deposit of $45.** and the lady told me that it had posted and my account was good to go. Thursday my account still showed $2.00 and I made an ... read more
My mother who speaks limited English walked into this bank to deposit a check, but the branch got her to sign up for a credit card even though she tried to explain that she did not understand what was going on. Instead of giving her the correct information that they were opening a new account that would affect her credit, they brushed off her concerns. It is beyond me how you can justify handing out a credit card to a customer who is confused about what you are getting them into. The teller and the bank manager not only fail... read more
