Pitney Bowes is a rip off. Customer service is the pits. You don't save any money using Pitney Bowes. In fact, we lose money. They charge you to add stamps over a certain dollar amount, they charge you for very expensive ink, they charge you bogus admin fees (I don't even know what admin they do when you can NEVER get a person on the line), and worst of all you can't get out of a stupid contract. I inherited the stupid machine from the previous owner of my business. BEWARE of termination fees too. I don't want to give this c... read more
I find BBB's integrity to be HIGHLY circumspect and am curious exactly how much Pitney Bowes pays them to maintain that A+ rating despite 95% negative reviews. That 3.72 rating is absolutely at question as well. Do they claim that 'Purchase Power' and 'Pitney Bowes' are two separate organizations? Because that is ridiculous, they are the same company in all but name, they use the same website and infrastructure, they're ultimately owned by the same people, the distinction only serves to make customer service experiences so m... read more
Just as many others have explained. This is regarding our Purchase Power account we have with them. We are constantly billed for late fees when we make our payment prior to the cut off time and due date. They make you pay only on business days, however, sometimes this may be on a Friday in which the payment will not post until the following business day or two which Pitney Bowes count as late. It is an obvious problem if many other people/businesses have the same billing issues. This is an unethical way in collecting late fee... read more
So Sad that I can't give PB a NEGATIVE 50 review and bring their average to zero stars. Absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with as a COO of a 6 location business. Even offered to pay out the rest of my contract, in advance, and return my equipment early just to get rid of them. The incredible thing with this is, while it would allow them to re-lease the equipment, they noted they would charge me EXTRA for doing this! So, and think how dumb this is, the machine sits in a box in the corner of our office waiting unt... read more
God bless anyone who has to deal with Pitney Bowes and especially the people in the Purchase power accounting office. No one in that organization talks to anyone else. I tried for 9 continuous months to resolve a billing issue. Do not deal with this organization if you can avoid it. Customer service is the LAST priority they have.
My company has been using Pitney Bowes for more than five years. In that time, these guys have not been able to get anything right. There are often fees that were not clearly explained and we were unable to get clear answers to our questions about these fees, sometimes getting totally conflicting and sometimes outright misinformation given to us by agents. The communication is dreadful, and if you have a technical issue or billing question you can expect to spend two hours or more trying to get someone on the phone who can h... read more
After many years of of using a Pitney Bowes postal meter my small family owned company recently went out of business. When we called to return the meter, we were informed: "Please note that the Lease is a non-cancelable agreement. However, your satisfaction is important to us, and accordingly, we make the following settlement offer." Note: The "settlement/return fee" was over $3,300! We could have bought near 7,000 stamps instead! We always paid our monthly bills on time and find this so-called 'satisfaction settlement' to b... read more
Beware the cancelling of an account is a nightmare. You must do it within 90 days but you cannot do it to early or they will not accept it. We are having to pay 3 quarters worth of service because they could not get the cancellation done properly. Also, if you have to call customer service expect at least a 30-40 minute wait time to just get to someone.
They are the worse company that I have ever dealt with in the 40 years that I have been in business, our motto is anybody but Pitney Bowes. I think when they hire people that they have to take a stupid test, and if they score above a 1 on customer service test, 10 being high they hire them.....***
