If there was an option for zero stars they would be much better suited for that rating. As this bar none the worst company I have ever dealt with. I stuck with this company due to lack of a better option. Between the consistent errors on my bill which were "a system error" and the monthly 3 hour long phone calls to get them corrected. You are better off spending the extra time at the post office or looking for another alternative.

I recently had my ******account hack and had numerous fraudulent transactions. All solved except for the one for $380 to Pitney Bowes. I still have a pending charge, two weeks later. I sent them all the information I had, considering I did not place the order, I do not have the order number but I had a transaction Id and the name and address of shipping. How is it that Pitney Bowes receives an "A +" in BBB's rating system overview, when 96% of customer reviews are negative? What am I missing??!! This company needs tighter regulation/oversight into their management practices, operational procedures, etc.. and needs to be fined! They are HORRIBLE-- and I wonder why they keep getting away with running a business so poorly, while providing such key functions for so many businesses across the country. NEGATIVE My third time this week on hold for customer service in excess of 20 minutes with no pickup. How is it that BBB gives these idiots an A+ with 96% negative reviews? It's as if PB is trying to avoid speaking to me, except to rope me in to another awful lease!

After a few months of horrible service, I attempted to cancel my subscription with Pitney Bowes. Rather than allowing me to cancel online (as they could easily do. Upgrading online, unsurprisingly, is an option), I had to call their number. I was on hold with them for over two hours while they transferred me time after time. The final number they transferred me to was a robo telemarketer trying to sell me a medical alert system. When I pressed 0 for an operator, it hung up. I work for a large company that has dealt with Pitney Bowes for years. However, in the past year the customer service has been horrendous. You absolutely can not speak with an actual person. The website is no help. This company has become the worst. Very very disappointed.

I've been using Pitney Bowes for over 17 years. But the last couple of years with them have just been horrible. First if you have to ever call them expect to at least wait anywhere from 20 minutes up to an hour before you can ever talk with someone. Second no matter when you send in payments they seem to like to hold them until after the due date and then charge you late fees of over 90%. I was told they can't control the mail. But my check was sent to them on 12-19 and they claim they didn't receive it until 1/5. This has b... read more

Probably the worst customer service experience I have ever had. 3 days to update an address and still not completed. 2 days to close an account and I will have to wait another 30 days. Waiting for a call back from the company, 23 hours and counting. On hold for 2 hours before reaching an agent and then being transferred to another and had to give up on that hold wait. The "Purchase Power Account" program by Pitney Bowes is very deceptive. First, you're charged $10/month for an online service, regardless if you use it or not. This is NOT clear when you sign up. The billing is via mail which is very easy to overlook in this era of electronic billing cycles. The late payment fee is quite high. When I called to cancel the account I spent over 45 minutes on the phone trying to cancel the subscription. The person on the phone was very unprofessional, but I was assured that it would be canceled.... read more
